What is the BEST Good Neighbor Hotel for the buck???

Our family likes The Fairfield Inn.

It's close to Mimi's Cafe, has some counter service, McDonald's in the parking lot next door and you pass the IHOP and Denny's on your walk to the maingate.:thumbsup2

Ok, i think i narrowed my choice for Feb to either the Tropicana or BWPPI --- any advice? It's only for one night.. but cleanliness is tops on my list.. and a good cont. bfast too..

has anyone stayed at the camelot inn??? it looks nice and says that it is right across from the tropicana.

I stayed at the Camelot Inn & Suites in August, and I would definitely recommend it.

It's not fancy, but it's decent and clean. My room had two Queen beds and had decent closet space. The swimming pool and hot tub on the fourth floor were good, and the continental "breakfast" was O.K. The photos on their web-site will give you an accurate idea of the place. The Camelot Inn has a laundry room with three washers and dryers. And the parking was fine. (The Camelot Inn does not provide internet access.)

The Camelot Inn is a five to seven minute walk to the main gate.

From what I've read, I'm pretty sure that the Camelot Inn is similar in quality to the Carousel, Tropicana, Desert Inn, and BWPPI. So IMO the deciding factor would be the price.

I like the Tropicana better. They are both super clean (at least for us they were) but the BWPPI has more of a cramped parking lot that seems to fill up more and the pool is not nearly as nice. Also, and this is just me, but I didn't like that at the BWPPI, you cannot take items from the free breakfast back to your room. My dh usually goes and gets the breakfast so we can eat in our room, couldn't do that at BWPPI. Tropicana it was fine.

Really you cannot go wrong with either, esp for one night!

Thanks! I was kinda leaning towards the Tropicana myself!

For all still trying to decide which hotel to choose, I would strongly recommend going to tripadvisor dot com and reading the reviews there, you will be well informed to make the best decision for your family after reading about others experiences! Hope you all have a wonderful time on your upcoming trips.
