What is the best feature of the Poly?

If I had to choose one feature of the Polynesian Resort that I liked best I would choose the Kona Cafe. I am a big breakfast person and the Tonga Toast and other breakfast items are great. The Lilikoi juice is not to be missed.

The relaxing atmosphere. Laying on a hammock, strolling the grounds, a friendly aloha....aahhh

We just returned on 12/19 from our first stay at the Poly. We enjoyed the resort so much that we are planning on returning in 2005. I think the location is one thing that we liked. We have yonger children so we spent 4 of our nine days at MK. We could either take the boad or Monorail. The boat was very quick. Also the bus service was great, never more than a 10 min. wait. The resort thememing was wonderful and the kids had a great time at the pool. On our previous trip we statyed at the WL and prefer the Poly.

Location Location Location!

and the relaxing atmosphere, and the great restaurants, and the friendly CMs... ok I can't pick just one best feature!

I like the Poly because of the atmosphere the room size and their concierge is nice

The best feature for me was the monorail! It was great being able to just hop right on!

I agree 100%!! I will never be able to stay at a non-monorail resort!

Transportation! While I love the resort's lush surroundings, the first and most important reason we stay there is that the Poly has the best transportation options than any other resort - monorail, walking distance to TTC, and boat launch to MK.

For me its the whole atmopshere/feel that I get when there. Theres something about just being there.
Of course, a close second would the Ohana, Kona, Tambu Lounge, the monorail, the pool & beach, the view......;)

If I must choose one thing--it's got to be atmosphere, especially at night! Tiki torches burning brightly in the night, lovely soft Polynesian music playing in the background, the MK across the lagoon. . .what more could one ask for?

Mmmm....where to begin :scratchin

Atmosphere
Location
Room size & decor
Coffee at the Volcano Pool in the EARLY morning
Monorail
GCH

....sorry I could't decide on just one! :earboy2:

The hot tan Colombian babe who feeds you peeled grapes and gives you massages day and night, but that only comes with the "married to my wife" package, and that offer is no longer available. Judging by your screen name you wouldn't be particularly interested in that anyway. I had to throw that in, we went in early December and LOVED IT!!! It was the best stay yet.

Otherwise, THE VIEW! If you're staying at the Polynesian, the view of the fireworks from the beach is wonderful. The theme is what I enjoy, it's far more laid back and "vacation like relaxed" which is what I want on vacation.

In addition, it's a monorail hop to two great parks, two other hotels and tons of partying options. It's a great destination for people who don't want to have to work hard to have fun.

The Poly has so many great features it is hard to just say one. Most of all to us is the Location. The view of the MK from the beach or your room, you never feel like you have left the magic.

Oh you have all made me so excited about our upcoming trip and first stay in Poly in April...as we were deciding there were some negative post (post Hurricaines) now i am getting excited!!!

It's really kind of an overall package rather than one thing that makes it great-- atmosphere is beautiful, can't be beat, with great theming and a location right in the middle of everything-- hang on the beach and see the monorail, the Grand Floridian, the Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary and you definitely feel like you're in the middle of it all... the theme is carried throughout everything at the resort....

And here's another vote for Kona. Great resort restaurant. Wish all resorts had a place like this.
