What is your favorite dark ride in each park? If you had to choose only one dark which one would it be? TIA

Sorry - it can be any ride at Disney that has an indoor(dark) portion or entirely inside like RnRC to the People mover, Toy Story Mania, TOT, TT, etc - there are many choices. I would love to hear everyone's favorites. TIA

MK- Haunted Mansion
DHS- Does Tower of Terror count?
AK- Dinosaur
Epcot- Spaceship Earth

Epcot: Spaceship Earth. Love this ride sooo much

MK: POTC. Just love how you feel like your actually there. Had my favorite Disney ride experience ever here. One time going back the fort versus pirate ship fight, one of the air cannons went off and the air whooshed right by my face, felt like a cannon ball had just narrowly missed me. Nothing like feeling you are in the story.

If you mean dark, as in scary, I vote for Tower of Terror

If you mean dark, as in very little light, I vote for Soarin'

I think of dark rides as a moving ride inside a building with a story line.

Magic Kingdom - Haunted Mansion
Epcot - Journey Into Imagination with Figment (because it has Figment!)
DHS - Great Movie Ride
AK - um, the only dark ride I can think of is Dinosaur and I'm not a fan of it, so I'm out of ideas for AK.

MK--HM: Best attraction anywhere, ever. The effects are cool, the narration is great, the music is awesome, and you can always find something you've never noticed before.

Epcot--SE: Again, cool effects, narration, and it's very different from other attractions.

DHS--TOT: Second best attraction anywhere, ever. Great effects, OMG great theming, and you plummet through the dark. What's not to like?

AK--ITTBAB: It's a show, not a ride. I would love to love Dinosaur, but it's just rough, loud, and not especially entertaining.

A thousand times ::yes::!

YES!! the last time we were there I noticed the ghosts up at the window in the dining room scene. The time before that I noticed the sign that said "Tomb Sweet Tomb"
MK--Haunted Mansion and POTC: We ride both multiple times. The effects, the music, the story. LOVE!
Epcot--Spaceship Earth (I don't really consider Soarin a dark ride): The narrator makes me feel like home.

DHS--TOT: LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! One of my favorite rides. I love the story. I also really enjoy GMR.
AK--Dinosaur all the way. I love the excitement of it. I do have to say the last time we went I had a shoulder injury and it hurt a bit to ride. But I LOVE the story, the smell, the wind on my face on that one.

Magic Kingdom - Haunted Mansion
Epcot - Horizons
Studios - Tower of Terror
Animal Kingdom - Countdown to Extinction

If I close my eyes they are all dark rides.

If I leave them open: Haunted Mansion.

MK: PotC pirate:

Epcot: Spaceship Earth, but I've always liked Ellen's Energy Adventure and Maelstrom, too.

HS: ToT, my favorite ride in Disney.

AK: Expedition Everest (if it counts, since you know, it has caves and stuff!)

Peter Pan is one of our family-favorite dark rides. The most charming part is the illusion of first being in a boat in a canal/track, and then taking off and flying away to Neverland. We also like E.T. at Universal for the same reason, but Peter Pan still has it beat.

Peter Pan - can't explain, it's just a feeling I can still recall from the early 80's!! It's magical. :)

At AK I would pick EE after dark. If you are able to ride this at AK during a time period where AK is open after sunset it would be my favorite of all parks.

~MK -- The People Mover -- Splash Mountain

~HS -- Toy Story Mania -- ToT -- Star Tours

~Epcot -- Living w/the Land -- Spaceship Earth -- Soarin

~AK -- Dinosaur

~I really love Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Test Track at night!!! :cool1:

Tower of Terror, hands down.

Haunted Mansion, honorable mention.

Well, I guess ALL outdoor rides are "dark" rides -- at night...
