Just wondering, no real reason but what would you think would be the best CM job at DW? I would want to do something where you got to walk around the parks all day and not be in a store or one spot, but not sure what that job would be. No plans to move there any time but just curious.

The person who sweeps up after everyone gets to walk around all day.

My DH and I have discussed this.

He'd like to drive a boat and I'd like to be an attendant at the Concierge Lounge in the Hawaii Bldg at the Poly. :rotfl2:

I vote for an indoor job. Orlando is just brutal in the summer and I don't think I could stand the heat for long. I would love to work someplace like the Polynesian or Grand Floridian, checking people in.

For me it would be an I.T. project manager. If you are in FL and in the Parks & Resorts division I imagine you spend some time in your office (which I believe is in Celebration) and also some time in the parks depending on which projects you are currently working.

I'd also love to manage an integration of their internal and customer facing systems because they are in dyer need of it.

I was actually going to say something similar. I am a software engineer and have also done some work in systems engineering so I would want to do that type of work for Disney, whether it was the software needed for rides, the website, Disney's internal systems anything like that!

My friend works at the Character Store at the outlet. He gets all the perks of being a cm. He does not have to be out in the heat. He does not have the long walk to get into the parks and to work. He gets to meet all the happy tourists. He does get to walk a lot in the store...where it is much cooler in the summer!

DH wants to be an Imagineer or an artist.

I, of course, would like to be a face character-- a Princess is preferable but I'd take Lady Tremain or the Anastsia/Drizella too. :)

I am in marketing communications so my ideal CM job would be to create and produce the videos and TV commercials for the parks worldwide.

I would like to have a combination position, invented for me with my knowledge and experience related to both Disney and being a CPA with extensive internal audit experience.

The job title would be "Freelance Internal Auditor, Devil's Advocate, and Announcer That the Emperor is Not Wearing Any Clothes". I would be a direct report to Meg, the President of WDW.

My duties would be to go into all of the Parks and Resorts, in costume as a Tourist. I would observe what is going on, and talk to both Guests and other Cast Members. I would report back as to what needs improvement, and suggest ways that these improvements can be made.

I would also have the opportunity to review marketing plans prior to implementation, to see what has not been considered (such as the fiasco with the 15/12 AP renewals cutoff date) before public announcement.

Unfortunately this position does not exist, so I have to just stick with Guest Relations, Ticketing, and Greeter.

My dream CM job was to do the narration for the boat ride on Living with the Land. It's now automated so a live person no longer does it :headache:.

I've been trying to think of a second choice, but there's really nothing I would want to do. I'm over customer service (as far as dealing with cranky/inconsiderate people; I could do Living with the Land as the cranky/inconsiderate people don't have a chance to complain or be rude and usually fall asleep anyways :) ), but something that kept me out of the sun and out of the throngs of crowds while still being in a park would be nice (maybe a CM on the TTA).

Anything that doesn't involve interaction with guests. They are a bunch of whiners. :rotfl:

Or maybe a Monorail pilot.

One of the "people in plaid" GR/tour guide on Main Street...leading the Keys to the Kingdom tour/VIPs/etc in MK. It's the perfect job for me as I love learning (your always learning in that job), it requires good customer service skills, and since I am a bit chatty, it will be like getting paid just to talk with people's out one of my favorite places. However, my guide on the KTTK tour last year said it took her several years to get the position.

My husband has a CDL and has to drive a school bus from time to time for his coaching duties. Whenever we get on a Disney bus, he always comments that he can take it over should something happen to the driver. I joke that when we retire we can move down there and he can bea bus driver...you know, one of those who ALWAYS knows what's going on (LOL) and I can be a tour guide.

Also, I realized that in order to play Mickey/Minnie you have to be short. So I'll take playing Mickey/Minnie. I have worn a furry hot costume in the past for a local festival, so I know what it is like.....basically I wore a bathing suit inside the costume.....or be a character handler. I love those who really get into their job and can play along with the characters.

I plan on getting a job as a face character/parade performer whe I'm in college and after. Not sure what I'd get, but I'd love to be a princess. :D

I just transferred to a pool bartender at one of the resorts and I LOVE it! I was a server previously and I loved that too! I'm at school right now and I'll be finished by the end of next year, then I'll be done working for Disney :sad1: I've recently been thinking about looking into other roles in the time I have left to work for them, and I'm getting some good ideas so far!

My problem would be the drop in pay from a tipped position to an hourly position, but if I could, I think I'd like to drive the boats! Of course I've never driven a boat in my life, but it's a fun idea!

I 100% totally want to be the WISHES Tinkerbell!!!!

I hope this isn't automated, but it would be cool to push the button to squirt people as the go down Splash Mountain.

If it is automated, well then phooey.
