We will be staying at Poly this time. We have reserved a MK view. What is the best building to request for the best view of the fireworks from our balcony? And is it better to use the resort monorail to get to Epcot or to walk to TTC to catch the monorail to Epcot?

If you're not staying concierge level, then Tahiti has the best views with slightly bigger rooms than other LV rooms. The only thing that some don't like about Tahiti is that it is the furthest from the GCH...be prepared to walk a bit to the lobby and pools. It's a very pleasant walk for people who enjoy walking, but for people who might have mobility issues like sore feet, prosthetic joints or toddlers in tow, it can be a pain.

We stayed in Tahiti last year and the views were great because it's right on the beach. It is very quiet and pretty there, but it is the furthest from the GCH. We were there in July, and the walk probably seemed longer because of the heat. In Dec. the walk might be really pleasant, and you have a beautiful quiet room with a very private beach.

As for the Monorail question, you have to look at the map of the different Longhouses. Some are closer to the GCH (resort Monorail) and some are closer to the TTC. When we were in Tahiti, we were literally next to the TTC so we used that one. It was very convienient to the boat to MK as well.

Truthfully, I don't think you can go wrong at the Poly. All the Longhouses are nice!

Good Luck!

Tahiti building might have 'slightly' better fireworks views but my lagoon view room in Tuvalu had great views of the fireworks. If you've got a MK view room (or even a lagoon view room for that matter) you'll have a great fireworks view!

Definitely better to walk to the TTC to catch the EPCOT monorail. If you take the resort monorail, you have to stop at the GF, the MK, the CR and then the TTC. If you walk directly to the TTC you'll save yourself about 20 minutes in transit time.

We are going in December, and have requested Tahiti, lagoon view. I am so hoping we get it.

I requested Tahiti for our December trip too! Here's hoping we both get pixie dust!
