What is the best appetizer at Jiko?? If you had to pick two??
Anything between salads, to flatbreads, to cheese plates, breas n dips, to other apptetizers?

I am a huge fan of the flatbreads at Jiko. Barbecue Chicken Flatbread with grilled onion and apple; and the Kalamata Olive Flatbread with goat cheese are yummo!!

DH and I had the breads crisps and dips and it was amazing. We also ordered the fresh veggie flower salad with lemon dressing and it was out of this world

I've never had an appy at Jiko that I didn't love. Taste of Africa is a fav as are the cream soups (these change seasonally).

Yes the chantarelle soup with pumpkin seeds is the best item I've ever had at any WDW restaurant. We also enjoy the Taste of Africa and get that every trip. The flatbreads are great too.

I'm guessing that it's seasonal, but in November they had a flatbread special--diced pumpkin, sage and goat cheese. It was the best savory pumpkin dish I've ever tasted. The ostrich app was good, but not as good as the pumpkin flatbread.

I have to give you three ...

The cheese plate is always excellent and I love the BBQ chicken flatbread ... my husband said the cheese plate and the Taste of Africa were his favorites.

The food at Jiko is excellent - I really don't think you can go wrong with any choice you may make.

We did the cooking tour at AKL before we ate at Jiko during our trip. While the chef's were explaining their menu, we got to "snack" on the Taste of Africa. It was wonderful. We were so full from that and also all the tasting we did at Boma that we did not do the appetizer at Jiko that evening. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone who is into food. It was great!
