Meaning, if I purchase the 150 minimum and then purchase a 130 point add-on to take advantage of the free AP's, what is the add-on cost pp? Is it the $101?

Still trying to crunch the numbers to figure out how many points we will need.

Also, if you do not use your points for Fri/Sat stays and just pay cash, do you usually stay at the same resort or go somewhere else? What is the room discount for DVC members?

Thanks again.

I assume that you are buying at SSR. If that's the case, it's $93 right now, but I don't know the particulars. It is a limited time special, though. If you are adding on at a sold out resort, they don't give you a break, it's $96, no specials at all. By the way, the add-on is the same price as the full contract, but at SSR, there is an extra set of specials that go with the add-on, that you would get along with the specials that go with the 150 pts.

I ALWAYS pay cash for Friday/Saturday nights. I have 900 pts, but I am not wasting even 1 extra point(more vacations for me). If necessary, I rent out the points, and then pay cash. No, you don't have to move, however you need to make sure that everyone knows what you are doing. When making ressies, tell the CM to note it on your ressie, both the cash and the points. When you check in,remind them. Sometimes it's more fun to change resorts, I get to visit all the hotels I used to stay at, like AKL and Poly

If cash for a 1 BR is $300-$600 a night while points*annual dues/point for a 1 BR is is more like $100-$300, what is the advantage? Is the savings even greater for weeknights than it is for weekend nights?

I did an add on on site at BCVs on Thursday for $92 per point from Disney.
