Hi,
Has anyone been able to get a quote on the new summer season yet? Is it 15 or 10%? Mousesavers didn't reference the new season at all, so I hope that doesn't mean that there are no discounts. :confused3

I just got my updated rate from my Small World TA and I saved just over $200 on one room (10 nights) and $150-ish on another (5 night). I'm pretty happy :cool1: This is for July '07 BTW.

I am looking for the new "summer" seaon AAA discount also. Does any one know the discount %?

Thanks

Anyone know? We might be able to figure it out if we knew PatFan's details (room/resort, etc).

I'm going June 2, 2007 and got 10% off of the room rate for the Polynesian.

So, I got 10% off at a deluxe resort, in regular season.

I don't think the deluxe resorts have the summer season rate, do they. I really hope they are offering 15% for the summer season. That would save us more $! :)

The deluxe resorts do have different season dates than the value & moderate. From what I can tell, there is not a summer season for the deluxe resorts.

I am definately with you on the hoping for 15% at the values in the summer season!!

Ha! You're right!

I never even noticed that there was such a thing as a summer rate! So, is it less than regular rate, but higher than value?

Why would they leave off the deluxes?

It's actually more that regular and less than peak. I don't really understand why that added the extra season to the value and moderate.

I am a bit confused with all of this. I checked Disney online to see what my price would be for our trip in June 2007. I was quoted the rate which is showing for the regular season rates even though the dates I want are listed as summer rates. I am wondering if this is a mistake or if they changed their season times.

Any one know? I guess I will call to see if I can get the AAA rates.

Well, that's just stoopid.

It's like you're paying less for your room, so they're gonna stick it to you somewhere else. I almost booked two rooms at POR (we have five people - four of them over the age of 17) and the difference was so small, that I went ahead and booked Polynesian for the larger room.

Now I know why!

I just got off of the phone with a CM at Disney. I was quoted $112.85 before tax for a preferred room at POP in June 2007 with the AAA discount. The rack rate is $121.00 per night for a preferred room. I have a 3rd adult in the room so I believe that is $10.00 additional dollars making the rack rate $131.00. I am thinking the discount is 10% although it doesn't come out to exactly 10%.

I bet I can tell you why. I booked mine this morning, and they're still basing the room rate off of 11.5% tax, instead of the 12.5% that it's going up to in September.

I had a heck of time figuring out how they came up with my rate until I used 11.5% tax. My room rate is actually around $4 more per night than what they quoted me.

Sorry about not giving you the details! We're at ASMusic,Preferred room, with an extra adult in each room. The tax and all was added into our room and it came out to about $148 a night if I did the math right (that price is pre-discount). Now it's about $127 a night, again, if I did the math right ;) which is always a challenge for me! You'll have to figure out what the % is.....I'm not gonna even try.

O.k., based on Pat Fan's rate, the discount came out to 14%. I wonder if that's right?

Do they give you the % off before or after taxes? My quote was including tax, so it could be 10% off before tax, know what I mean?
