I was wondering this too and I looked it up and it said Sangria is a red wine punch, created in Spain and made popular in the US at the 1964 World's Fair. It normally has red wine, brandy, and fruit. Anyone know if Disney's HDDR's Sangria have Brandy, or is it "watered down" with carbonated soda. Just wondering.
I've always had Sangria made with wine, brandy and fruit juice. I have no idea though whether HDD has brandy in theirs! My guess is no, since it's included with the dinner.
I make Sangria several times a year. I gave up on Brandy, but I use a bottle of red or white wine (even two buck chuck works!), a fruit-flavored liquor, usually cointreau or triple sec, sometimes peach schnapps (about half a cup), and sliced fruit, like oranges, lemons, limes, peaches, apples. Make a batch in the morning and chill it all day. You can strain the sangria and add fresh fruit to the glasses for a neater look, or you can pour the wine-soaked fruit into the glass, your choice!
I have made this recipe and it is FABULOUS! Serve it well chilled.

2 cup orange juice
8 cups grape juice
2 small apple or peach, cut into long thin wedges
1 orange, cut into round slices
1 lemon, cut into round slices
