What is open during MM hours?

On the Sat we are going, MM hours are from 7-8 with main entrance at 8am. I'm only familiar with WDW--will the whole park be open at 7 or just some rides? I also heard that FP machines will not open until 8? Thanks!

During MM only Fantasyland and parts of Tomorrowland are open and FP are not available until normal opening. But you can do most of Fantasyland, and be ready to pick up a FP right at 8!

I have never used MM before but we plan to this upcoming trip we are staying at the GCH. My question is don't they open main street an hour early? How do they know you have MM and access to the lands? Seems like since they open main street early anyone with a park ticket would be able to take advantage of this if they wanted to?

Regarding Main Street and sometimes yes and sometimes no. People cannot use MM without a valid ticekt.

Usually the have rope drop on non MM days. This is when they open the gates about 30 minutes early and you can go into the Main Street Shops, at the very end of main street.

How early should one be at the gate for MM?

Don't waste any of MM outside of the parks. Aim to be to the gates 30 minutes early for a MM.
