What is open Christmas Day in NJ

I don't know how familiar you are with American history, but on Christmas day George Washington crossed the Delaware in a suprise attack on the Trenton. It was a huge victory and moral booster after the tough winter.

They reenact the crossing every year (weather permitting) at the Washington Crossing Historic Park. I always wanted to go there but never managed.

Wegmans is actually closed on Christmas Day. Close at 6:00pm(or thereabouts) on Christmas Eve and open again on the 26th at about 7:00am. It is the only day of the year we are closed for a whole day. On Thanksgiving, just closed for about 10 hours or so.

Weird.. the Cherry Hill one was open last year--limited hours on Thanksgiving as well. Cherry Hill is a predominately Jewish town-- could that mean anything about it?

The Shoprite was open as well on those days so that might must be open because the strong competition was.

Well it looks like we will be doing IHOP for Breakfast, go and see The Princess and the Frog, and then maybe go to RubyTuesdays for lunch or dinner.

Yes, Thanksgiving is always limited hours - only closed liked 10 - 12 hours from 7:00pm-ish Thansgiving day to 7:00am-ish the following.

We are ALWAYS closed on Christmas day (even last year - you must have been at Shoprite! ) Even though the area is Jewish Wegmans is owned by a very Catholic family and close on Christmas anyway. And I would say at least 95% of the support personnel celebrate Christmas - so another reason they close all the stores for those of us 'behind the scenes'.

Just double checked the website to verify that I wasn't missing something new. They USUALLY tell us things (I work in the IT department and we pretty much have to be around whenever the stores are open) - but who knows if I had missed it. Definitely closed again this year:

Weird.. I. Shoprite, Genaurdis, and Acme were all open Christmas day. Most of the stores in the Wegmans plaza was open as well.. In this town Christmas is just another day of the week and mostly everything grocery store related is open...its getting to be odd to NOT be open so not to usurp competition.

Wegmans if it wasn't open would make tons of money that day.... it was open today during a HUGE blizzard!

As we get closer to christmas does anyone have any other places they know will be open on christmas that we can shop at during the day?

Just looked at the movie times at my theater and I'm surprised they aren't showing The Princess and the Frog until 1:40pm.
I would have though at least 11:00am.
