What is on the ships for 18 yr olds to do?

They seem to be to old for the teen club thing an to young for the adult things.

DD would love to go on a cruise with us an we was considering it for a graduation present but seem there not gonna be much for DD to do other than hang out with us, watch movie or show or hang out by the pool and she can do all that at home much cheaper lol

it's what my kids like doing the best, other than excursions...yet, alot more fun aboard ship

they never wanted to participate in kids clubs ; we always insisted at least a few hours so DH & I could have some "us time"

when i talk to my friends & hear of all sorts of drama going on in their houses, i'm glad they still want to hang with us

how about a spa treatment or 2?

I'm taking my soon to be 18 year old on a cruise this summer. It is her graduation gift. She went on a cruise when she was 15 and loved it. The cruise we are going on is a double dip so she will have two days to spend at the beach. She is a lifeguard and loves the water. She is addicted to sports so will be spending lots of time in the fitness room when on the ship. Last time she enjoyed the straw market in Nassau. This time she is going to try snorkeling. There was plenty to keep her busy on the boat but she has a very out-going personality.

I went when I was 18 with my HS Graduating class. We got to hang out at the adult pool, as well as hang out at adult clubs. There are comedy shows that are hilarious later at night.

Also, during the day, depending on what cruise you are on, there's plenty of adult stuff that your DD might enjoy doing. There's demonstrations about cooking a selection of the food on the menus, there's contests and game shows. There's shopping seminars, etc.

On CC, there's a teen beach with sand volleyball and such. I highly doubt they will ask her to leave if she's 18 if she wants to play.

Also, what teenage girl doesn't want to work on her tan!?

I'm 24 and can't wait for my 3rd Disney Cruise!

I went on a cruise on I was 18 and could go to the adult clubs and there was a college club social and I went to that and met people and hung with them at night during the day I did my own things

I'm 19 now and went on a cruise in september and I was 19 and am going when I am 20 and can't wait

I'm eighteen now. My most recent cruise was in July, about a month after my high school graduation. I was allowed in the teen club as I hadn't started college yet, and there were several others of my age group also there. Of course, I wanted to explore my newfound adult freedom, and so I participated more in the adult activities (late night parties and shows, the spa, quiet cove, etc...) and mostly in the college club on board, which was a lot of fun.

they just had it in diversion the sports bar on the ships it was at about 10 at night on my cruises

Your 18 year old will probably be allowed to visit the Adult-Only Pool, and Diversions, the bar next to it. If she is into sports, there is the Disney's World Wide of Sports deck, at the back of the ship, where there are basketball hoops and ball nets. There is also the movie theatre and activites they do on deck, plus the adult pool which is almost always deserted.

I personally think the DCL is a great place for everyone, so I wouldn't worry too much. I say book it and it see what happens!

She will certainly be able to be in the adult only areas..not probably as she will be 18!
We are taking my DD for her grad. and my nephew who graduates the same day...they will both 18! This will be my DD's 6th Disney cruise and she can't wait! A first for my nephew
