What is on everyones Christmas Dinner menu???

I am keeping it very very simple this year. We stay home and the kids are only 9. 5, and 4 so they would not care if we had cereal for dinner---actually they would probably like it!! We are having a ham (I don't know)section(?) I got at Costco a little while back that everyone liked, sweet potatoes with marshmallows and salad. Maybe honeyed carrots.

Some kind of dessert. I don't know what yet.

Breakfast is actually more important tradition wise. We will have potica and hot chocolate/coffee.

I probably have the simplest of all. We keep things very simple at Christmas since we are busy with church stuff and it seems like all we do is eat anyway. We have lasagna, salad, and french bread for Christmas Eve dinner. On Christmas we have a breakfast of eggs, bacon, fruit and cinnamon rolls after opening presents and then a late afternoon piece meal of appetizers - usually super nachos and vegies and dip if it's just us, but more if people are dropping by. We eat lots of cookies - have to have gingersnaps and Nanaimo Bars - and I promised the boys a brownie mint pie this year.

We travel to relatives for the week between Christmas and New Years, so there are plenty of opportunities for big meals there. Since we sit down for dinner every night the kids think it's a big treat just to snack around on Christmas Day.

Turkey
Ham
Mashed Potatoes or Roast (not sure yet)
Asparagus
Baby Carrots
Brussel Sprouts with Bacon
Yorkshire Puddings
Stuffing
Gravy

Appetizers....Maybe Shrimp for dipping and some Brie in Phyllo and French bread

Desserts

Trifle
Something else?? Maybe a Pie?
I also have a Christmas pudding which we'll have with Custard and/or Brandy sauce

It's usually ham, sweet potatoes, italian spinach, saffron rice, green bean casserole, and crescent rolls. For dessert: Christmas cookies and pies from Baker's Square (usually French Silk and Apple).

Unless we're at my EMIL's, in which case it's basically a rehash of Thanksgiving.

But this year, for the very first time, we're have Christmas dinner in WDW!
We have an ADR at Cape May Cafè.

We looked at all of the Holiday menus that were listed and as a family decided they had the best Christmas buffet (DH really likes Prime Rib). And I think that's where they have those Oreo domes for dessert. I know my DD will like those. ;)

Ham
Mashed Potatoes
Corn casserole

for Christmas Morning, we are having a Praline Baked French Toast, fresh Polish Kilbasa, Holiday Mimosas, Coffee & Juice.
for Christmas Dinner, we are having Swedish Meatballs, Spinach Dip, Asian Turkey Tenderloins, Mashed Potatoes, a Broccoil, Cauliflower, Carrot with Parmesan Breadcrumd Casserole, Wine & Beer.
for dessert, a cookie tray with cookies made by myself & my daughter.

Same as every year.......

Cold meats......chicken, turkey and ham

Salads

Pudding and Custard

Fruit Punch with lots and lots of ice

Really exciting stuff hey? But when it's likely to be 30+ degrees Celcius, the last thing you want or feel like is a big hot feed.

We just don't bother much with a "Christmas Meal." We visit the in-laws on Christmas Eve. My mother in law is from Germany and it's tradition to celebrate at midnight, so on Christmas Eve, we start celebrating at around midnight (though it has been getting a bit earlier each year, LOL) with them. Till we get home, it's really late, but.......the kids still wake early. We're dead tired the entire day though. I just make a veggie tray, meat and cheese platter, a shrimp ring and lots of other junk and we pretty much just pick when we're hungry. We always have tons of seafood good steaks and lots of other good stuff at the house for the week following Christmas (hubby is off and the kids are too), so we sorta celebrate all week long.

My daughter's birthday is the 26th, so we start socializing again at that time with a huge crowd at the house.

We have a large family, so we have a big Christmas Day party at our house.

We have a Mexican feast on Christmas day....

Cheese and chicken enchiladas

Rice and beans
Pork chili
Lots of chips and homemade salsa
