Hello everyone! My DD2 and I just returned from our first trip to DLR. I wanted to kinda test her out and see how she would react. Well, she had a blast and rode many of the rides with no problem. So now I am planning our next trip for Dec. 2009. I want to go the week before Christmas but not sure about the dates. Anyways, WDW is my old stomping grounds, been there many times in the 90's but have not been since 1997. What is new to WDW, besides AK which I cannot wait to see, that I should take DD to see? She will be 3.5 by then. ALso will be taking my neice, age 10. Any suggestions would be great! They both love the Princesses , especially CInderella. Is the Christmas Party with MIckey worth it? I never did go to it but want to do it this time. Also, which on site hotels are most kid-themed? thanks in advance for your valuable input! Tina

Hi! If your girls love Princesses, then Epcot's Akershus Princess Dining experience is a must..make sure to bring costumes along for the girls they love it! Christmas time is awesome! I would do MVMCP as a one time experience, everyhting looks really great. The osborne lights in MGM STUDIOS are really nice to. Also don't miss FANTASMIC it's amazing! In AK don't miss the Festival of the Lion King, The NEMO musical or the Safari ride. Also in EPCOT your little girl will probably love TURTLE TALK with CRUSH (from the NEMO movie), SOARIN is a great ride for the older girl and yourself, also FIGMENTS place is really cute. There is also the BIBIDI BOBIDI Boutique, you buy packages with hair, nails and costumes for your little princess to be like her favorite princess...bring your own costume and save yourself some money.Hope this helps some...

As for hotels the POP CENTURY(Value) is really great and fun. We loves P.O. French Quarter(moderate) great pool and slide, really clean and quiet. The Carribbean Beach(moderate) is really nice as well!GOOD LUCK

Mickey's Philharmagic in Magic Kingdom is amazing for all ages --don't miss.

If your daughter is 40 inches tall, Soarin' is very cool.

Thank you for the tips i am making notes!;) I have to say those are the 2 resorts I was lookin at! I would like POR the most I think. I want to put up a little Christmas tree and decorate, will the hotel have any problems with that? DO you know if POR FQ has any suites available or just guest rooms? Thanks for your help,Tina

Here is some great Christmas stuff you don't want to miss:

* Osborne Lights at DHS (included w/admission)
* Tree lighting ceremony at Epcot (included w/admission)
* Santa stories around the world at Epcot (included w/admission)
* pictures w/Santa at DTD or MK

We went Dec 07 and there was a Christmas themed parade at DHS that was great. I also managed to pack a 4ft tree w/lights in a large suitcase - or you can always ship one to yourself at your room and maybe start a tree swap!!!

The Candlelight Processional (included w/admission at Epcot) is absolutely beautiful and you can avoid the long line by getting a dinner package - you will get preferred seating this way. The show may be a bit long for a 3 1/2 yo, but you are the best judge of that.

I would also recommend buying a good guide book (my fave is Unofficial Guide) to review the rides to ensure they are appropriate for your group (it also has height requirements, and reviews on restaurants, hotels and everything else you can think of).

Happy planning!!!
