What is my DD talking about?

Ok all of you wonderful Diser's, I need some help here. My kids went to the MK 3 years ago with their Dad (my ex husband) They only went on a few rides because my ex doesn't like roller coasters and they were too young to ride alone.

Anyway...DD just asked me tonight if we were going to go to "that ride that shows all the cool stuff from the future" I'm assuming she means the Carousel of Progress ride? My Unofficial Guide says this is open seasonally. Does anyone know if I'm right in assuming this is the ride she remembers so fondly, and is it opne now?

Are you sure it was at the MK, and did she say what type of ride it (is) was (revolving theater, circlevision, track ride)?

Hmmm - Carousel of Progress really doesn't show anything in the future, except the last "scene", which really isn't all the futuristic now- the rest is really in the past.

Could it have been Timekeeper - this has since closed permanently, and DD and I never got to see it, as it was opened "seasonally" - so I'm not sure what it was all about....

I can't think of anything else at MK -----

Spaceship Earth is one possibility ... it shows scenes from the future as you ride down backward.

Unless they went to Epcot and they're talking about Horizons which is now gone. Other than that, I would assume they are talking about COP.

Could be the Tommorrow Transit Authority, where you drive by the model of the Future City!

Horizons was the first thing that came to my mind. Did they go to Epcot?

I thought the same thing. The first time I was in WDW was 2003, and it was not there then.

You guys are great! And very funny, as you all asked me the same questions that I "grilled" my daughter with.

Do you sit or stand? "Sit"
Do you move or the stage moves? "You move along and come up on different scenes"
Are you SURE it was at the Magic Kingdom? "Yes, Mom...it was the only park we went to!"

I'm sure we will figure it out when we get there. (in 3 days!!!! )

I would have said Horizons but that's been closed a pretty long time now.

Might be Carousel of Progress. Also could be the TTA; Future City model, the displays in the "windows" in the show buildings, etc.

Since the kid didn't mention that there were people (like a play) I'm gonna stick with TTA!
