hello, i have never been on the new ride mission space :Pinkbounc and i was just wondering how it was!! i want to know if it makes you sick or not in the books it tells you it is pretty rough!! :cool1:

Follow the warning signs and you should be fine. Have been on it myself several times now and have never been sick.

It is when you feel those warnings apply to others and not to yourself that you may be bothered by the ride. It is most important not to close your eyes or look around your capsule once the ride begins. Stay focused on the monitor in front of you and enjoy your ride to Mars.

From my experience last March of 04, Mission space will not be on my must do list this June. Both DH and I are true "ride" people, however, Mission Space did things to me that no ever ride has ever done. My son and friend, 9 and 6, loved It. I got shakey, nauseated, sweats..... not a feeling I want to do over. Hopefully you'll do better!

I'm 17, so this might not apply to you, but maybe it'll help. Before you go on they warn you as if you're actually going into space... I like thrill rides and normally I'm not that nervous on them, just anxious. But when I went on for the first time I was pretty nervous. I went on and it was amazing. It's very real. The ride did make me feel a bit sick during the "take-off" but other than that it's not that bad. Overall it's very very fun and unique experience.

It was amazing, but I will never get on it again.

I rode in July '04 and the only thing keeping me from losing my lunch was the fresh air they pump at your face. I just don't think it set a good tone when there were barf bags on an amusment ride. The acceleration was so strong that the water ran out of my eyes into my hair. I mean, it was really really cool, but it took us an hour of sitting in a quiet part of Epcot with water and food to feel okay again.

I have heard of lots of people who think it is great. I've read things that say they've turned down the acceleration to about 2.5G's instead of the original 4G's (I don't know if that was before or after I rode it). I am still glad I went, but between waiting in line, pleading with myself to not puke all over myself while riding it, and the hour it took to recover, I won't be going back!

I'd say if you really want to try it, don't let me stop you, but schedule in some "recovery time" for right after!
