What is 'large enough to share' for lunch?

DH and I are thinking that if we eat a buffet breakfast one day, and have TS dinner reservations that same night, we probably going to be as hungry for lunch and are thinking we'll split something.

What have you found is "large enough to share" in your travels around Disney - but not at parks. Particularly at CSR, Disney Wide World of Sports Complex, DTD and other resorts? (we aren't hitting the parks until the 3rd day of our trip).

Thanks a million for your help!

I've never been but seeing pics and reading threads it sounds like Earl of Sandwich has some pretty BIG sammiches that look big enough to share! I can't wait to try it! If you're not full enough you could always then split a sundae at ghiradelli... yum-O!!!

Wolfgang Puck Express, at DTD and Pepper Market at CSR have a lot of the meals big enough to split. You may want to look at the food porn thread to see just how big the servings are at some of the restaurants.

I'm thinking after a breakfast buffet, I really wouldn't be able to eat lunch, particularly if I had a TS reservation that night. I'd just grab a pretzel at the stand in DTD if I needed a light fix.

Truthfully, I haven't seen much of any thing 2 adults could share without adding this or that too.

I tried the split a burger thing at pecos bill for dh & I, after 40 minutes both of us were buying a ice cream bar.

Earl of sandwich.. split the sandwich but definitely had to add chips and a cookie to the meal. No way was just 1/2 a sandwich enough for both of us.

If one of you are a very light eater you might make it work. I found that when we had a nice breakfast (pancakes/bacon or omlet with toast etc) we could get by with a yummy snake until dinner.

Exactly what I was going to say, it seems like everything that used to be shareable has been downsized and up-priced! Wolfgang Puck might work, Earl of Sandwich if you add two soups and two bags of chips you can split a sandwich, but if either of you are used to eating, even a happy meal sized lunch, then splitting isn't going to be as easy it was a few years ago.

basically anything at WPE:thumbsup2

there was way too much food on our plates and it was all wonderful

Anything from Tangierine Cafe...but I have to admit I do try to hog it all because it is just so darn good

:scared1: Now that's a good use for all the snakes people have been seeing at the resorts!:rotfl:

I totally agree with this. Unless you have a very, very early breakfast you should be OK with a couple of snacks for lunch.

If you do decide to split a counter service, at DTD I would recommend Wolfgang Puck Express. One of the pizzas could easily be split if you weren't too hungry.

If you are staying at CSR, lots of the Pepper Market meals would work out great. We like to split a made-to-order pizza or the chicken fajitas--ask for a 4th tortilla. At Siesta's at the main pool, the Chicken Caesar wrap combo is yummy, as are the Siesta's Nachos.

We love Puck Express. We like to share a pizza & side of mixed greens. Another split we like there is a side Caesar salad & a side of the fantastic Mac & Cheese. There's a great variety to choose from at WPE.
