I really hate any kind of public pool. I think they are gross. It seems like every time we are stuck at one- such as the one at The Hershey Lodge this weekend- some kid throws up and they have to clear the pool. What is it with kids throwing up in the pool? Don't parents realize their kids are sick or maybe too full to swim?

I agree, it could have been that the kid got water in his mouth and choked on it.

Oh, I didn't realize that it was due to choking on water. It seems like a fairly common occurance.

::yes:: Swallowing water does it. You think it's bad being there - try being the person who has to clean it up! :scared:

Yep, DD-17 was/is a lifeguard at pool(s) run by our City Rec Dept. They are required to clear it and clean it and the throwing up is usually for this reason, not from being "sick". But unfortuately, despite the requirement for the use of the new swim diapers....the "tootsie roll alerts" ;) :crazy2: are even more common than the throwing up........

Tootsie rool alert?

Caddyshack with Bill Murray and the Baby Ruth bar.

Nuff' said. :)
