What is it with CPAPs?

Just curious, but why do CPAPs require so much scrutiny in airport security? They hand examine ours every time.

a CPAP is the machine you use at night if you have sleep apnea. Someone told my husband while they were checking his, that it looks just like a bomb going through the xray machine.....

They're very difficult to see into on an x-ray. They have all the necessary components to be an explosive device.

They do the same test on those as they do on nebulizers. Its an explosives test.

My familliy is fun to travel with. We travel with a CPAP, a regular nebulizer, a portable nebulizer and a carry on suitcase that is at least half full of meds inluding 6 different lotions/creams and 3 liquids. I hate travelling...lol
