What is it like now at CRT now that they have the princesses there for every meal? I ate here back in 2000 and sort of remember my experience and from what I understand, a lot has changed since then. Now they have the princesses there for all 3 meals. What is this experience like? I thought I read somewhere on here that they announced each princess, told her story, and then she came to tables, is this correct? Also, which princesses were there when you went?

We just ate there for lunch a week ago today. I was a bit disappointed and although the experience was nice (eating inside the castle, etc.) I wouldn't do it again. I didn't think it rated 2 dining credits. A few years ago when we went we had two separate princess character meals, a lunch at Akershaus (OK, I probably misspelled that) at Epcot and a dinner at 1900 Park Fare. We thorougly enjoyed both of those meals and meeting the characters at them.

Here was our CRT experience last week.....we met Cinderella right after checking in at the reservations desk. There was a line of kids before us, you got your autograph book signed, did a group picture and moved on upstairs.

I hadn't really researched the meal ahead of time and didn't realize there were only a handful (4, I think) of adult meal options, athough DH and I aren't picky eaters and thought our food was quite good. There was the standard limited childrens menu items. My ds chose a hot dog (ick) and ate about half of it. There were no vegetarian options on the childrens menu so my dd ended up getting the chicken and pasta meal without the chicken. In hindsight I should have just asked them to do plain butter noodles, but instead we got the pasta with red sauce and cheese (as how it comes with the chicken meal) and she didn't like it and barely ate a few bites. Also the childrens appetizer choices were garden salads or soup (vegetable or minestrone, I can't remember).....again neither thing our kids would eat. So we ordred salads and DH & I ate them. The kids desserts were the standard ice cream sundae except they had chocolate crowns on top.

The princesses that made the rounds during lunch were Belle, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White. To me it felt very rushed, quick autograph signing, quick pic, they moved on to the next table. Now we've eaten at quite a few character dining places and I realize they don't spend a ton of time, but often the characters will spend and extra few seconds interacting with your child, but we didn't have that at CRT.

We did enjoy that the meal came with a photo......we had a family picture taken with Cinderella and it turned out pretty good, so that was nice. The kids, of course, were delighted with their swords, wands and wishing stars. Also our server kindly brought us out extra blocks of cheddar cheese (like came with the appetizer tray) for dd to eat when she was barely touching her meal.

They did announce each princess and she came out waving before starting her rounds to visit each table.

Again, it was OK but not really worthy (IMO) of 2 table service credits. I just asked my kids today which meals were the best they had at Disney and they listed Chef Mickey's and Hollywood & Vineas their faves from this trip.

Thank you for that excellent description of your visit! I didn't ask the question, but it was very helpful to me. I'm planning a trip in Feb (yep.. 2011... I LOVE the planning!). I am trying to decide on character meals. This really helps! Thanks again :flower3:

Thanks for your anser! Very detailed! :thumbsup2

If you have never dined in the castle, I think it is worth doing at least once. But I agree I don't think it is worth the 2 TS credits. Another option to see all the princesses is to do Akershus at Norway (where we saw aurora, snow white, belle, jasmine) and then do 1900 park fare at GF for Cindy. Both of these are 1 TS credits. I enjoyed both meals and my niece loved seeing the princesses.
