What is it like for Christmas?

We wanted to go to Disney World this year for Christmas and were worried about the crowds. How are they? Is it impossible to ride anything? The CM I talked to, said it was not busy at all. I think she was doing a little white lie, because I have heard different.

I would like to know the answer as well. I'm going 12/19-12/22 and was told that the crowds should be alright.

The parks can be crowded, but I must tell you to please go during Christmas. It is so special and beautiful. You will not regret it. Also, you must do the MVMCP...lots of fun!!

Believe me - it's BUSY!!! But with FastPass and advance planning, riding rides should be no problem. You'll probably have to be patient and just go with the flow.

Pluses - weather can be really nice, cooler during the day and sometimes even pleasantly chilly at night. And, the decorations! Wow! Disney really does it up right to get everyone in the Christmas spirit...

From Dec 25 - Jan 1, the parks can get so crowded they are closed to any additional guests for periods on the AM and afternoon. Waits for rides can be 60-90 minutes long (or longer).

I agree - from the 25th of Dec. to the 1st of Jan. The crowds can be unbareable and the waits can sometimes get as long as 90 min. They do sometimes close MK when the crowds meet max capacity. We went last year the beginning of Dec. and had little waits for any of the rides. As a matter of fact, they did not even use the fastpass system. We attented 2 of the MVMCP's and of course, the decorations are simply beautiful!!

PS The Wilderness Lodge is a must!
