I am getting married in June of 2004 and was thinking about doing a cruise for our honeymoon. I have never done a cruise (Disney or otherwise) and have a few questions.

1. What exactly is included in the prices quoted on the DCL website. Obviously the room, but what else (food, recreation, off shore trips, ect???).

2. We would probably do the 4 night cruise first and then spend a few days in WDW. Is it cheaper to book the cruise separately, then do the rooms on our own? I love searching for codes and stuff, so I don't mind doing this?

3. If we do both parts separately, do we have to find our own transportation to and from the port, or will Disney provide it (or can we pay a little extra to use Disney transporation similar to paying Mears to get from airport to hotel?).

TIA. Just trying to some ideas in advance. Would love to take a dream honeymoon without breaking the bank too much and would like to start figuring out estimated costs now.

puffkin - I will attempt to answer your questions (but this is based on my own research - not experience - as I am doing my first cruise in about 1 month!)

1. What exactly is included in the prices quoted on the DCL website. Obviously the room, but what else (food, recreation, off shore trips, ect???).

Included in your cost is your room, food, and entertainment on the ship (shows and movies and events). You pay extra for shore excursions, tips for the staff, alcoholic drinks, and other drinks except those served with the meals.

2. We would probably do the 4 night cruise first and then spend a few days in WDW. Is it cheaper to book the cruise separately, then do the rooms on our own? I love searching for codes and stuff, so I don't mind doing this?

If you don't mind doing the research - I think you can do much better to book the land part yourself - seperate from your cruise.

3. If we do both parts separately, do we have to find our own transportation to and from the port, or will Disney provide it (or can we pay a little extra to use Disney transporation similar to paying Mears to get from airport to hotel?).

You can purchase Disney transfers from DCL that can be one way, two way, or three way. (Airport to port, Port to airport, resort to port, or port to resort). Many people here also have opted to just rent a car and then return it at the port. I think the economics of that is dependent on the number in your party and your plans.

Hope that is helpful.

Thanks so much for the info. I hope you have a nice cruise!!!!
