What is in your Disney Binder?

ok so my stupid question of the day, what is the passporter? I have seen this mentioned before but have no clue what it is.

Thanks
Faith

that is designed to be taken on vacation with you. It has pages for planning your trip, pockets to place receipts, mementos, etc. It's an intersting book that, in my opinion is written from a fan point of view rather than a tourist point of view. The UG actually lists it as a good companion book for their publication.

<snip>
the other thing I've done is started a Word file that I call WDW tips. Whenever I see something I want to remember I copy and paste it into the file. I'm going to print that off right before we leave.

I totally do this! It is so easy to just cut and paste! Another thing I do (whilst at work :eek: ) is to keep a spiral notebook next to me so if something pops into my head I can just jot it down. Later, it gets typed into the Word Doc.

I make an Excel Document and laminate it to carry. If you'd like a copy, pm me and I'll email it.

That's a great idea! I think I'll do that.

I currently am running 2 binders, but will bring a smaller version to WDW with me. I have The Binder (tm) which has a tab for each park, each water park, DTD, hotel into, shopping and Other. The second binder has EVERY menu that is covered by DDP--we are new to DDP, so we still don't know where we want to eat and I found it easier to just print them all so we can look when we want.

When it's time to go, I'll get a photo brag book and put all of my stuff in there: Confirmation numbers, ADRs, Park info and tips, etc. It will save space in the backpack!

Wow! Lots of great info in here. I need to figure out what I'm going to do to organize all of my stuff. The binder sounds like a good idea, but now I'm thinking about the passporter. Do you have to order it online, or can you get it at a local bookstore? What info do you carry with you to the parks each day? You don't carry the binder, do you???

You can get the Passporter at most book stores. I bought my last one at Borders. I carry my binder with me. But, I use one of the mini ones that will fit in my purse/bag.

The passporter can be found at BooksaMillion, Barnes & Noble, etc. I use the dlx. edition (which is a binder). I highly recommend it. But I also do a planning binder with alot of the things in it that are mentioned here. Like a previous poster-my binder has a collage of our past vacation pics on the front & back cover. Yes-I'm crazy too. But everyone is always impressed by how organized I am. :worship:

So, can you tell me some of the benefits to the Passporter? I was going to write down daily information on notecards...one for each day...and then take those with us each day. But, if I need the Passporter, I'm always up for more info!!

Subbing!

My binder is still in progress - great ideas everyone!

I personally NEED the passporter. It has ride & resturant descriptions, reader ratings, folder pockets for each day to write on, stickers, lots of WDW info. It's a must for my planning. Go to a local bookstore & check it out before you buy it. I think you'll like it. It's my favorite guidebook.

oh no, DH just saw the binder with all the pages just waiting to be 3 hole punched and said "what's that"? Now he knows I'm obsessed. :lmao: okay he knew that before hand, but he told me I need a 12 step program. :rotfl2: I told him I needed some light reading on the road. Then he reminded me the 1st half of that trip would be mostly in the dark. So I added a book light to my shopping list. :rotfl:

I'm LMAO!! That would be me, if we were driving!!!

Just wanted to add that you should have 2 binders with all the same info. in it in case you would lose one!
I know you're thinking you'll have it chained to you, as did I-lol but it could get lost or you could leave it on the counter at the airport as you're weighing your luggage and checking in for your flight like I did. With 2 kids and a baby it was cound to happen. Thankfully it was on the way home that I lost it..not on the way there! I had kept it in my small carry-on bag and pulled it out to show our airline confirmations at the JB counter and left it there and it went missing. I was quite devastated. I did get lucky though in that my parking coupon was in it and the parking place at Newark honored it even though I lost it.

I have several things in my binder. A crowd calender and a daily suggestion list is the thing I am proud of the most

the first one has a list of hours and a plan with EMH shown. I highlight mornings in pink, evenings in blue and the park I want to go to in yellow.

the second one shows just the day with any reservations and suggestions. I get the hours from Disney and the Crowd Index from touringplans.

The day before I'll add the temperatures and any last minute updates.
I also have a page for just dinner reservations, important numbers, the hotel and anything I think I may need. I do all of this on excel and powerpoint. If anyone wants a copy of my last one just PM me. I leave on Feb 16th but I can send them when I get back on the 24th

I love your spreadsheets!!! Would I be able to get a copy, please??

Sorry - I couldn't post the pics as I don't have enough posts to post links yet. Hopefully you know what I'm referring to - your awesome planning spreadsheets!! I'm pretty sure my DH thinks I'm obsessed! He's already said it's along time til Sept, but as far as I'm concerned it's never too early to plan!

I sent a copy of the three files to ---- denegate, momminnie, Tigger i luv DISNEY, flipflopmom, cglaura and Disney is Magic. I need regular email address to ----- a*lil*bit*goofy, naplesRI and Hawkeye Mickey 77. I sent PM's to these three. If you want copies of these pages (post 23 in this thread) just PM me with a regular email
Becca

I don't have a 3 ring binder, but I do have an expandable folder/organizer where I store all my Disney stuff.

http://www.staples.com/office/suppl...ess_Supplies_0_10051_SC1:CG15:DP1458:CL141235

We had 4 trips planned this year so it was a LOT to keep track of.

Inside I have a folder for each month we have a trip planned. I put the reservation confirmation, airline e-tickets, confirmation of my owner's locker order, my grocery list/confirmation, any receipts for hard ticket events, etc.

Then I have a folder each for general stuff:

my owner's locker order form, terms and contents;
Southwest Rapid Rewards info;
general contact list (which has our bank phone #, insurance co's, car dealer (in case the car doesn't start when we get home),
DVC member number,
doctor phone #'s,
pharmacy that delivers to WDW resorts,
parents/neighbors phone #'s (they are all in my blackberry, but if my battery dies or I lose my phone, I'm dead!!),
Car service phone #
Credit card phone #/account#

I bring the whole binder in my carryon so I always have all my info with me. Its also all in my laptop, but again, if that is not available, crashes or doesn't make the trip, I have everything still available.

Was getting ready to start a thread about planner info. when I ran across this thread so thought I would give it a friendly bump as lots of good info to be had here....

wanted to add that I also print out locker locations for each of the parks
