We have a reservation for standard which Mco would make us Auto full size. Has anyone recently been there? In July there was 3 options a minivan and 2 cars. Is B side open yet?

Was there 2 weeks ago. The full size line was full. All passenger cars, mostly Chevy Malibu's. No minivans. Only the one side was open.

Thanks. We will see what is there on a Friday night. If not I have magical express as a back up

Yes... same when we went in mid October we had a ford fusion, not sure what world that's a full size car.

I am (potenially) renting an Alamo at MCO for the first time ever.

Would @ain0004 mind telling me what B side is? Is that the terminal at MCO? I see the Alamo site says their counter in the B Terminal isn't open yet.

And @Darklord77 - can you explain what "the full size line" is?

I've only rented at a non-airport location (and that's always Enterprise) so I am not really sure what to expect at an airport location.

Thank you!

At MCO, there are 2 sides of the main terminal (A and B) and there are rental car garages on both sides of the terminal. But during COVID, basically only the A side garage is open.

When you rent a car from Alamo and elect to skip the desk and/or kiosk by doing all check in ahead of time, you go directly to the garage and find the aisle of the car type you have booked. You then are free to select any car in that aisle, get in, and drive it out. The booth at the exit of the garage will finalize your reservation and give you the rental agreement. So if you booked a full-size car, you would go to the full size aisle and pick whichever car there you liked.

Oh wow that's very helpful! Thank you so much!

I was looking at that "skip the counter" option. Maybe we will try it! (of course if they're all Chevy Malibus I don't see what difference it would make!)

It’s definitely worth it as sometimes you get lucky and there are a variety of cars available. Plus, even though it’s a little thing, it’s always fun picking what color car you want. Or what I like to do is check the mileage on a few cars and see which one is newer lol.

Side B is where magical express is. Side A is where southwest is? Right now there are only cars at side A
