Hi there,

Does the lazy river in aquatica go through the dolphin nursery or just the tropical fish section?

Where does the enclosed water slides go through? The dolphin nursery too or somewhere else?

TIA

Dolphinmom:)

:confused3

Did I offend someone or does no one know the answer to my question?

if I have somehow offended someone I apologize.

but acquatica is not open yet. This being said, I was a lucky individual who got to tour the park with some friends that invited me. It is in one word: AMAZING! There are many many slides, one that goes through the dolphin pool and there are baby dolphins there....very cool! There is a lazy river, a rapid river, two wave pools a beach, a children's play area and get this....cabana rentals.... that will be really, really cool! I think it will be the best water park in Orlando! Watch out Disney and Wet n' Wild!

They also will have the best deal on food. One of the restaurants is an all you can eat buffet....(all day long) adults will be $19.95 and children will be around $10.95 if i'm not mistaken. I can't wait to go!

:)

I was starting to get a bit paranoid there I guess. I did realize that it wasn't open yet but diser's tend to be always in the know, you know? haha

Thanks again,

dolphinmom:)

FYI - I called Aquatica and they have 18 cabanas. They are $150 for the day. The rep I spoke with said they are all pretty much situated in the same area, have the same layout and so there's really no advantage to choosing one over another. Likey, we will hear differently once the park has been open for a while, but you can call anytime and reserve your cabana, subject to availability. I was told a cabana will be assigned to you upon your arrival.

I'm wondering, from those who have been fortunate enough to tour the park if they noticed where the cabanas are situated and could expand on that a bit??

A minor point, but I think the "baby" dolphins are in fact full-grown. Commersons dolphins just don't get that big, averaging a little under 5 feet, according to Wikipedia.

We are going in April. Honestly I am not too comfortable with enclosed water slides.:scared1: Please tell me their are some open ones also:goodvibes

There are something like 50 or 60 waterslides total, and from across the street it looks like plenty of them are open. You should be fine. :thumbsup2 Should have more details to share tomorrow...

I just saw the Aquatica website yesterday, and we will definately be going after our cruise in November. Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks about it next month!!!

The dolphins are full grown, but they kind of look like baby whales as they are black and white....they are small....adorably small.... and they swim in groups which was cool to see during our tour.

Also, the beach and the cabanas were not done when we toured the park. That was one of the last things. We were told they would have a tv, a frig, drinks, and that it would have a fan and would actually close. (supposedly not a tent, more of a house type of structure.) Not sure if this is still the case. You also have an attendant assigned to you who will get your food at restaurants (addl fee for food) etc.

HTH.

thanks for this. . . I called today and this is what I was told -

Rental is $150 per day. It only includes 4 people and each additional person is $30 :scared1: up to 7 - that is the maximum allowed. You get sunscreen, lockers, towels, and drinks in a fridge, plus a cabana boy or girl. Just like was posted, they will get you lunch, if you want, for an additional charge, or you can eat all you want for $19.95.

Personally, I think the extra person charge is crap. . . $30 for an extra chair ?? :confused3
