Many people believe that the most important reason to live is to be happy. However, happiness differs among everybody, as different things make different people happy. So my question to you is what makes you happy? How can happiness be achieved? Are you happy? (please be as thorough in your explanation as you'd like). :)

Am I happy? A resounding YES! I am happy! I love life and all that it throws at me.

What makes me happy? I look for things to make me happy. I could just as easily look for things to justify being miserable. I choose to find the silver lining. Yes, its PollyAnna and Rose colored glasses, but it is better than being miserable. I don't stick my head in the sand and ignore the bad stuff. I do emphasize the positve as much as possible.

Can Happiness be acheived? Definately!! Absolutely!! Many years ago I was faced with some very difficult circumstances and it would have been quite easy to succumb to the misery that surrounded me. However, I chose to give my daughter the best example possible and celebrate life. Awful things continued to happen, but I would list the things that made me happy each night before I went to sleep. I emphasized the positive.

Did it make all the bad go away? Hardly, but for the most part it made it easier to deal with. Seeking the positive becomes easier and easier. So: Laugh often and loudly, Sing whenever possible, don't worry about being in tune, and Love freely and without conditions and Smile You will soon find that better things are happening to you.

My philosophy is this: Life is made to be enjoyed. So enjoy all things big and small.

1. Worshipping God makes me happy.

2. My family makes me happy.

3. Travel makes me happy.

4. My hobbies make me happy.

5. My job makes me happy *usually.

6. My friends make me happy.

I could be happy with only #1 on the list, but I couldn't be happy without #1 no matter what else I had. #1 is the secret to happiness for me...and yes, I'm pretty happy.

The key to happiness is to do what God made us to do:

-Love God

-Love others

P.S. A few trips to WDW help too! ;)

I always say it doesn't take much to make me happy! I get a kick out of the smallest things, sometimes a story someone tells me about their life, or something silly a little kid does, or the way my cat sleeps with his paws over his eyes, or that first cup of coffee in the morning, or going to a restaurant we love and sharing a bottle of wine with my family....the little stuff!

WDW makes me ecstatically happy!:)

Appreciating what you have - and moving beyond what you've lost..

Happiness is truly a "state of mind".. If you wake up in the morning and you're still breathing, it's a happy day..;)

I'm a believer that there is a BIG difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is fleeting and joy is not.

Joy comes from the Lord. Happiness comes from people, places, things.

The things that make me happy are being with my family, WDW trips, the beach, basketball games at the college and DD's, finding a good deal, surprising someone, being surprised, seeing others be happy (esp. at WDW--I'm a total happy sap at those moments!), being with my friends, being in church, holding my dog, cleaning my house, cooking (if I have plenty of time to enjoy), etc. Very simple things make me happy. :)

I think happiness is finding peace within ourselves. To me it means letting go of the pain and focusing on the blessings in my life. There will always be pain, I just don't have to let it consume me and not let me appreciate all of the wonderful things in life.

I think that the happiness from people, places and things comes from God. I think that they are a gift from him.

I LOVE my life and am SOOO happy. I've been happily married for 4 years now (I'm 27) to the most wonderful man in the world. We have a beautiful 8 month old DD. We own a house that needs some work to it, but heck, what house doesn't? I have a good job that I'm really happy to be working at...Life couldn't be better! :goodvibes

Happiness comes from within. Nobody or no thing can make you happy. I am very happy because I want to be.
