What is happening in early October?

I thought October was supposed to be low season. I have a conference in Anaheim and thought I'd add a few days at DL. There is no room at any DL hotel for 1-October to 3-October. What gives?

DL Hotel was showing full for me too. The discount period for gay days starts on October 2nd. I called DL reservations and asked for a gay days rate and they found availability.

We're going to be there on the 5th, and I called to ask about AP rates when they came out. A CM told me there is also a convention during our stay (not referring to Gay Days), though I don't know what organization or how big.
