What is happening at POR French Quarter Right NOW!

My sister, who is begrudgingly at WDW, on my encouragement, is stuck on a broken down bus trying to get back to her room in the French Quarter where she has been told there is no electricity. What is happening!!

I just got back toy room. Apparently, the power has been out everywhere (except rooms) since 3:30. There is no pool, hot tub, store, arcade or food court; including refillable! There are a LOT of very, very unhappy people here :-(

My sister, her dh, and 2 small children amoung them. I think She is ready to kill me. I am the one who encouraged her to stay on property even though it meant a smaller room etc. I assured them they wouldn't need a car and Disney transportation would be great. It has always been for us. She was already saying she had made up her mind this would be a miserable trip that she had to endure for the kids.

We'll POR river side is just up the path and hopefully they have power at their pools and food court.
I would think management would run more boats or tell you which bus to take to get to the main porrs pool/food court.

Heck I have had a longer walk at the all stars resorts from my room to the food court then from por fq to rs.

Awww... I hope she isn't too mad at you. It's not your fault that you didn't know that the bus was going to break down and that there is no power. You can't predict the future. It is a lovely quaint resort. I love this moderate resort! If that happened to me while I was down there, I wouldn't hold that against the property or anyone. I hope your sister understand that things can happen at anytime at anywhere. It is Disney, but nothing in this world is perfect. I hope they get the power back and the transportation taken cared of soon. I hope she will enjoy her remaining stay after the problems are fixed.

Something big or freaky must've happened because WDW has its own power grid. I was there for Hurricane Charley in 2004 when Orlando was out of power for days but WDW was up and running the entire time. They closed the parks durig the worst part of the storm but everywhere on property still had power.

Woke up to power this morning. Good thing because I needed my morning coffee. Not sure what happened but they are saying everything should be ok.
