SW opened up thru March and every flight is $181. It does not matter what day of the week, what flight time, direct or stop over. Do they do this every time they open up a time? I really thought they would be cheaper than they are.
Any one have any insight?

yes when they open up the flights are the same after a day the change according to how people book. sometimes you can get cheaper flight closer to depart date and with bookiking tri[ i know it is hard to do.

that flights in my case, BDL out of CT, are cheaper when SWA first opens the window. My experience has been booking in May/June for a Sept flight so 3-4 months out with SWA and late June/early July with Delta so 3 months out yield the best prices. I have gotten Dings in the past but not so much lately.

I am flying into Tampa in late Aug and snagged the $80 anniversary sale but my return flight from MCO was blacked out (Labor Day). However, Delta had a non-stop leaving at 7:05PM for $99 (cheaper than SWA by $20 even with a bag fee) My goal is always $200 or less & I've been pretty successful over the past 6 yearly trips.

I noticed the same thing for flights in December and I was disappointed. I mean the price on them is the same as any other airline as far as I can tell, but I was hoping for less than that for our trip. :sad2:

Just looked for March 1-8 and could get a flight as low as $118 and as high as$180 from Manchester NH. I think those rates are too high and will wait
hoping to grab a really low price like I got in Nov. $80!!!! It seems that Tues might be the day to check for discounts. JMO

The rates will drop if the flights are not in high demand. Basically, if you are flying during a holiday week, don't expect the flights to come down at all. If you are flying during a regular week, you will likely do better.

The Sunday after Presidents Day is almost sold out from MCO to Long Island!
We had to book the Monday flight and I suspect that will be gone soon as well.

Good Luck :goodvibes

Since I would have paid $1892 on USAIR with layovers or around the same on JetBLue, I thought $156 per one way nonstop ($312 total) was a steal on Southwest so I booked it. Airfare is getting ridiculous.
