What is going on Wed. July 22 - everything is booked?

We have made a million modifications to our yearly summer vacation this year, and so as we were making another modification yesterday (we've been able to add days), we noticed something weird. We would like to switch our AKV - Savannah view Studio to a BCV Studio, which would have been feasible, except Wed. July 22 is not available. We checked on several other resorts, the same thing! MS wasn't sure what the deal was, so does anyone know if something is going on that day?

We have never experienced this before with a midweek sold out date, so just wondering?

I don't see anything outstanding....there are the regular conferences at the convention hotels. There is also the inaugural ESPN Lacrosse event at Wide World but I wouln't think it would have a tremendous impact.

I'm going to guess school sports. Seems like most fall sports start practice right around that Aug 1 time frame. I know that's our situation, as we have about a 2 week window between when baseball ends and football starts.

There's going to be a total eclipse of the sun that day, but it's on the other side of the Earth (Southeast Asia and the Pacific Ocean), not across Florida, so I doubt that's it.

We'll be there that week to celebrate our 20th anniversary (on the 21st) and we have a really big family and lots of friends helping us celebrate.

Happy Birthday! My hubby's birthday is July 15th, so he normally gets to celebrate at WDW (lucky guy!), so he said the same thing about it being the week of his birthday too!

As someone else mentioned, some sports have their Nationals Tournaments at WWS, I know girls softball is around that week.
