what is going on June 5-12?

DH DD DS and I are going June 5- 12 Poly con. I was just wondering if there was anything going on during those days? Anything that will effect which parks will be the most busy so that we can avoid that park on a certain day. I appreciate any help. Thanks

june 5th - avoid the mk. the crowds will (reportedly) be huge due to it being gay week.

we will be at the poly as well on june 4 & 5th, have a great time!

We will be at Poly concierge June 4- June 12. Also going on the weekend of the 5th are Star Wars days at MGM. As part of Gay Days there are certain events at certain parks on certain days that week. Maybe we will see you there, I will be the one dragging four kids along with me, making sure they keep their germ infested little paws out of the food in the lounge.

the gay days parks are: MK on saturday the 5th and I believe EPCOT on sunday the 6th...you may want to work your schedule around those parks on those days to avoid possible heavier crowds...

No we have not requested a room either. My family and I can hardly wait we have never stayed con. before.

Neither have we. I am the only one who knows, it is a surprise for the family. The kids don't even know we are going!

Hey guys we will be there too June 7-12. I will also be dragging around my 4 kids--plus my niece and nephew. We will have a group of 11. If you see a crazy white headed old lady in the lounge she is not my mil and I swear we dont even know her

Does anyone know what the crowds are usually like this time of year? Looks like the Poly concierge is going to be full of dis folk while we are there!

4 Great boys you are very brave a group of 11 but that is great I am trying to get my brother and his triplets to go with us. I hope to meet both you and goodferry. My DD is 13 and my Ds is 9. Is there much for a 13 year old to do my DH I like to go for an adult dinner when we are on vacation but how my DD is to old for the kids club and ideas what to do with her?

a lime green ribbon identifies you as a DIS member! so if you see anyone wearing one, say hello!

LOL the Lime green ribbon signifies you are a Dis'er. Wear a LIme green ribbon, put some on your backpack--or whatever you carry around. That way a Dis'er sees your ribbons and comes up to say hello
My boys do go off on their own some--mostly they like to go to DTD. DS 16 stays in the Guitar Store that is there, he plays and we never take it with us because its just to much to cart through the airport and ds 13 (14 in May) goes to DQ.

My little ones are pretty young, so I don't know if we will get out alone. Oldest DS is 12 (almost 13), middle DS is 8, oldest DD is 5 and the youngest DD will be almost 1.
Eleven is a lot of people! I am so excited! I just got email from the concierge staff.

My boys are 16, 13 (14 in May), 4 and 1 and we are NEVER alone, lol. My 2 oldest bring home their friends all the time as well. My niece is 13 and dn is 7.

Looks like they will all have friends to play with in the lounge! We never go anywhere alone. Last trip we got a babysitter and went to the Luau without the kids, we actually missed them! And it's not like I don't see much of them, because we run our own business, so they are with me unless they are in school.

I know what you mean about missing them. When we had them at Disneyland they went to the kids club and we went out to eat we spent the whole time talking about them. We also went on a couple of rides that our son was too young to go on at the time and we felt a little guilty that they should have been with us. But when we got back to pick them up they said we were early and they didn't want to leave. The whole rest of the trip they kept asking to go back because they had made so many friend and had had such a great time.

Hi all!

You'll also be there the last two days of the Flower and Garden Festival (June 5 + 6). Make sure to check the schedule at Epcot-- they have all sorts of activities, including the Flower Power concerts twice daily in the evening. I think the Lovin' Spoonful will be playing the last two days.
