What is Going on at the Castle???

Oh dear...

Can anyone get in there and find out what's going on?

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! If I had entered the park next week with NO IDEA I would've just freaked out! :scared1: After close examination of all of those pictures, it looks to me that if you get your pictures taken at the split in the tracks or further back, they should still be beautiful.

Looks like the main front entrance is all closed off too. I hope its all gone by next weekend!

OK, Disney castle workers, you guys have 11 days to finish the job.......get to it!!

soooooo....come on Albort....what are they doing?:confused3

We're going tonight so I'll check it out. DD will be disappointed. She loves to see the castle lit up at night.

Undoing the pretty castle for the 50th and bringing it back to its old state. I feel kind of sad about it. The lamp posts are all being painted green too. No more gold.

My DS is there right now. I will have to ask him about it later.

I'm afraid it will look pretty bare without all the gold. Personally I got sick of ALL the gold (not a big fan of that color for some reason) around the park and am glad they changed some of it back. The castle was an exception because I always liked the gold on it. They did it very well.

I tried to find a date for the castle painting, but couldn't get a good answer. The CM's I talked with didn't know how long it would take. Hopefully not long because it did shut down the castle's main entrance. Splash mountain shuts down Tuesday for a 5 month refurbishment too. To the CM at the Pooh bear ride: sorry you've been moved from SM, but we loved second ride on Pooh!

I am currently there as well and whatever painting that is going on doesn't seem like it will be done quickly. Sorry for those of you going but it's not that bad sure the castle is half covered up but the magic is still there.

I read about this and believe the castle wood framing is in terrible shape and needs to be replaced. Hopefully that isn't the case, but if so it could be quite awhile before the castle is ready for the public again. :sad1:

The good news is the front of the main street train station is no longer covered but yeah the castle is still half covered as of today!
