Hi Everyone,

I was spent a few days on a solo trip and while I didn't stay at the Cabins, I couldn't stay away from FW all together. I decided to take the boat from MK to Trail's End for lunch and then take the internal bus to the Outpost to catch one to HS. Anyway, as I was riding through, I thought I saw some barricades around several of the cabins. Does anyone know what is going on? I had read a long time ago that it might be time for the cabins to be replaced.

Thanks!

Looks to me like they are just refurbishing. There are a few site loops down as well right now. I watched them replacing the culvert at the entrance of 500 a couple days ago and then re-pave over it. They were coating the asphalt in a loop over by the Meadows the same day.

I think they heard there were so many of us Disers coming in October they figured they had better get started fixing the place up now...?

When we were there a few weeks ago they were replacing the decks on the cabins.

Agreed. We saw this in January as well and they are upgrading/replacing some of the decks. We loved the cabin we stayed at in the 2600 loop. Would def. stay there again. We're actually going to camp down there this coming weekend. Can't wait to get back to the Fort.

Just to add in, we were back this weekend and saw during the daytime...looks like in addition to replacing the decks they are also giving the outside a fresh coat of paint to the whole cabin.
