What is fastest route driving from BWI airport to Lorton Va?

My son will be dropping off my DH at BWI airport ( accompanying him driving from Boston together), and my son is catching the auto train in Lorton Va. They are staying over night in Hanover, Md. He needs to be at the auto train checking in at 3:00. If he leaves Hanover at say 11:00 am, will that be plenty of time and what is the smartest way to go (this is next Monday). Thanks!

Use I-95, leaving at 11 should get him there with no problem and he'll be after DC rush hour, just to be safe, I'd leave at 10 tho.

Check in begins at 11:30. 3:00 is the absolute latest to check in per my understanding. It's always better to go earlier just in case of major backups somewhere. If he can leave at 10:00 I would but if not he should be fine. He should stick to the major routes.
