My husband can't STAND the nescafe coffee they sell at the parks (though apparently, there is decent coffee at Tusker House). He grinds his own Starbucks beans at home and takes coffee and little filters with him for the room coffee. He's such a coffee snob. LOL.
Real coffee snobs don't like Starbucks. So he's only a partial coffee snob, like me.
I think it's criminal that Disney puts the word "Coffee" on the menu, but instead, they serve us hot water with a hint of nasty, stale, bitter coffee flavor mixed in. I would LOVE to see them replace Nescafe with some real coffee. I'd pay $6 a cup if it was decent. Good coffee is available at AK and Epcot, but it should be the standard, not the exception.
You all have a lot of other great ideas also. I think a real full size drive-in theater would be a blast. I'd love to see Toy Story on a giant outdoor screen.
I would also like to see some big-time thrill rides, not because I have to have them to have fun, but to keep those teenagers interested. I'm hoping that I've instilled a love for all things WDW in my 12 yr old sun, but I'm afraid that when he's 15 or 16, he might not be that excited about going to WDW with us. Having some real ultra thrill rides would help with that. A villains park would be very cool and would be a great place for rides like that.
There are also a couple of other things that I'd love to see, but that are totally unrealistic.
I'd like to see a monorail system connecting all the resorts and all the parks to each other. It would help pull everything together and minimize the hassle of going from one place to another.
This one is a bit off the topic because it wouldn't mesh with with WDW at all, but this thread made me think of it. I think it would be cool to be able to dive even deeper into a fantasy vacation by having an entire park and lodging, all with the same theme. For example, if you went with a western theme, the whole park would be like that and the hotel would be like an old style western saloon and you'd get from the hotel to the park on an old train or by horse-drawn wagons. Anyone seen the movie Westworld?
The last thing I'd like to see is a transporter like they had on Star Trek, so it would take me like 5 seconds to get there instead of 8 hours. Beam me up Scotty (or south in this case)
