What is Disneyworld missing?

For me:
-More Rollercoasters
-An Indiana Jones ride like the one at Disneyland
-More new rides
-A Haunted Mansion Themed Hotel OR A Hotel based on Liberty Square
-Oh and Better Coffee:)

But I do LOVE Disney as it is too!:goodvibes

-An Indiana Jones ride like the one at Disneyland

That would be nice, but because Dinosaur was built. That'll never happen. The closest thing to Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure coming to WDW is a new scene in the Indiana Jones Stunt Show at "Disney's Hollywood Studios" based on the new Indiana Jones 4 film.

Why not? They have 3 Dumbo style rides at MK alone!

And the only thing that Dinosaur! and Indiana Jones have in common is the base ride system and the track is real close to the same layout. The attractions themselves are completely different so Dinosaur! is not a good reason to not build Indiana Jones.

How about an attraction based on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe!!!!!?

I would love to see an on property medical and dental clinic where you could have prescriptions filled and everything. Maybe even limit it to those staying on-site and it could be charged to your room. Its horrible being sick at WDW and having to seek medical or dental help off-site. We've had the medical but not the dental (knock on wood) and I would have loved to stay on Disney property to get treatment and a prescription for my child.

I would like the Indiana Jones ride from Disneyland brought to WDW. I can't imagine anyone going on Dinosaur and Indiana Jones immediately knowing the tracks were the same or similar. I wouldn't have known unless I read it here.

I also would like a totally smoke free environment but know that's not realistic and think they have a good compromise the way it is.

I wouldn't support a casino and think it would really detract from what WDW represents (to me at least).

And while I'm at it, bring back Tapestry of Nations!

A French restaurant themed after Ratatouille. They could do a lot of neat things out of the movie, like simulating Remy's family eating on an "upper level"...

Just to let you all know there is karaoke at the Swan/Kimonos restaurant. There used to be an airline at WDW's STOLport in the 70's called Shawnee Airlines. They flew from McCoy to WDW and to Freeport in the Bahamas and the Keys. WDW planned on building a baggage and check in terminal. They also had full service travel agencies at the Polynesian and Contemporary! There used to be an ice skating rink for the holidays at Downtown Disney. Now, Gaylord Palms has ICE in November/December with an ice skating rink and it is 5 minutes up the road from POP Century. There also used to be a movie theater at the Contemporary where Disney movies were shown. It is still there but used for cast. It was off of the old arcade. They do show movies every night at the campfire at FW. The closest go carts are at Old Town also about 5-7 minutes away. No bowling alley yet though:)

Celebration has all of this and is 5 minutes away. Also, Centra Care will send a doctor to your hotel room.

My husband can't STAND the nescafe coffee they sell at the parks (though apparently, there is decent coffee at Tusker House). He grinds his own Starbucks beans at home and takes coffee and little filters with him for the room coffee. He's such a coffee snob. LOL.
Real coffee snobs don't like Starbucks. So he's only a partial coffee snob, like me. :)
I think it's criminal that Disney puts the word "Coffee" on the menu, but instead, they serve us hot water with a hint of nasty, stale, bitter coffee flavor mixed in. I would LOVE to see them replace Nescafe with some real coffee. I'd pay $6 a cup if it was decent. Good coffee is available at AK and Epcot, but it should be the standard, not the exception.

You all have a lot of other great ideas also. I think a real full size drive-in theater would be a blast. I'd love to see Toy Story on a giant outdoor screen.

I would also like to see some big-time thrill rides, not because I have to have them to have fun, but to keep those teenagers interested. I'm hoping that I've instilled a love for all things WDW in my 12 yr old sun, but I'm afraid that when he's 15 or 16, he might not be that excited about going to WDW with us. Having some real ultra thrill rides would help with that. A villains park would be very cool and would be a great place for rides like that.

There are also a couple of other things that I'd love to see, but that are totally unrealistic.
I'd like to see a monorail system connecting all the resorts and all the parks to each other. It would help pull everything together and minimize the hassle of going from one place to another.
This one is a bit off the topic because it wouldn't mesh with with WDW at all, but this thread made me think of it. I think it would be cool to be able to dive even deeper into a fantasy vacation by having an entire park and lodging, all with the same theme. For example, if you went with a western theme, the whole park would be like that and the hotel would be like an old style western saloon and you'd get from the hotel to the park on an old train or by horse-drawn wagons. Anyone seen the movie Westworld?

The last thing I'd like to see is a transporter like they had on Star Trek, so it would take me like 5 seconds to get there instead of 8 hours. Beam me up Scotty (or south in this case) :)

That would be great!

I would settle with just a medical care center ( more likely to be used than dental.) I would imagine lots of people get ill while on vacation.

Heck, even if it was staffed with PA's it would be nice, especially if you are staying on property with no rental car!

I agree with more stuff for boys to do, like they have BBB so why not have something like that for the boys, maybe to them up like their favourite villain or character like for example woody, a pirate or a lost boy from peterpan.

just my opinoin though

Two words: Baskin Robbins.

Good ole Southern Sweet iced tea

I also like the idea of a Villan inspired theme park, or area of a theme park.

Adults only wing or section at each of the resorts. While I love children, and have no complaints about the ones at WDW (at least most of the time), We are a family of adults only and would love a quieter place to be as an option, a more affordable options (can't always afford to stay at a Moderate, Deluxe, or DVC Resort). Maybe finish the other section of Pop Century as an adult only section.

You know, I am surprised they haven't come up with this yet. We have a clinic in our mall now, and if our mall could have that you would think Disney would. And you are right, with the Magical Express, not as many people have cars on property, so a clinic with a pharmacy would be very useful.

Maybe at Downtown Disney or one of the MK resorts (not inside a park). I bet there would be a lot of people who would use it. Great idea!

This is a great idea. The only reason I can come up with as to why this has not been implemented is the liability issues involved with running a medical clinic. Maybe they feel it is just not worth the potential hassles. Other than that, it seems like a no brainer.

I'm glad to see others think the medical and/or dental clinic would be a good idea too. I would think it would be busy year round with the shear number of WDW guests, even when its not high cold and flu season.
