what is considered an appetizer?

okay so maybe this is a stupid question but can you order soup or salad instead of an appetizer for the table service with the ddp?

Yes, generally soup or salad is available as an appetizer at TS restaurants. Of course, entree salads (like the large Cobb Salad at Brown Derby) and entree soups (like the Portuguese Stew at Spoodles) are not available as appetizers.
