This is our first year having the dining plan, and I have been making my reservations. So far I have ressies for Chef Mickey's for breakfast, T-Rex for dinner, Boma for dinner, Hollywood and Vine for breakfast, and Teppan Edo for dinner.

I am a bit overwhelmed with trying to figure out where else to eat and at what times. I would love any suggestions!!

When are you going, what do you like to eat?

We love Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. It is my DH's favorite. He gets the bbq skillet, I usually get the ribeye. Both are extremely good.
We also like the Crystal Palace at MK. It is a buffet but it has some cool things on it. Those are the only 2 restaurants we are repeating this trip. DW has so many good places it is hard to repeat unless they are favorites.

If you have kids try the Sci-Fi....kind of fun...my kids thought it was pretty cool. Have you been to the T-Rex before?

I wouldn't say we have a MUST EAT yet. Last year was our first time on the dining plan as well and usually we only do maybe one or to TS a trip, but last time witht he DP we got to experience a lot more. With that said our favorite was Boma and we are going back again this trip. We also really enjoyed Le Cellier but it's the food and wine festival when we are going and plan on eating aroundt he world.

We have must DO's for CS though. We like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot Future World, I HAVE to get the sweet cream cheese pretzels from scuttles landing in MK, and we usually eat at Pinocchio Haus in fantasyland. As far as counter service at hollywood studios, the only one we consider decent is pizza planet.

We are actually getting there on the 10th of September and staying until the 15th. I have 2 boys, ages 6 and 2.

We have not ate at TREX, but we were there this summer.

I love Flying Fish and Yachtman's....both in the Boardwalk/YachtClub/Beach Club area. They are great restaurants.

We love...

50's Prime Time Cafe
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Wolfgang Puck Cafe
Tutto Italia
San Angel Inn
Teppan Edo
Beaches & Cream
The Plaza
House of Blues

...and for quick service spots...
Earl of Sandwich
Flame Tree Barbecue
Casey's
Tangerine Cafe
Sunshine Season
Wolfgang Puck Express

Here are our favorites. Our kids are age 6 and our favorite restaurants are based on them:

> Chef Mickeys
> Ohana dinner (coconut chase for kids) at Poly
> Teppan Edo in Japan
> Sci-Fi at HS
> Coral Reef at Epcot (watch the fish, turtles, etc., as you eat -- my kids
LOVE this restaurant)

Do your boys like pooh characters? They are at Crystal Palace. My girls like it there as well, but it's not a must-do for us. We also like LeCellier for the mushroom filet mignon and it's a nice, quiet, cozy restaurant that my whole family enjoys.

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Chef Mickey's is our traditional last supper - it's our good bye meal

We love Boma, but we tried Sanaa on our last trip. We have now replaced our meal at Boma with Sanaa.

You do know that T-Rex is not on the DDP don't you. Like Rainforest Cafe it is owned by Landry's and does not participate in the DDP. Funny thing is, Yak & Yeti at AK is also owned by Landy's and does participate. I never understood that.:confused3

We just came back from Disney this past Sunday, and that trip was our first dining plan experience. We ate at CRT,Sci Fi,PSB at Askerus,Boma,Rain Forest Cafe(not on dining plan) 1900 Park Fair,Teppan Edo,Ohanas, and Tutto Italia.
In previous years,we have eaten at Chef Mickeys,Chrystal Palace ,and Boatwrights and Le Cellier as well.
My favorites not to miss out of all these places are Teppan Edo and Boma.I enjoyed Le Cellier ,but given the choice between the two,Teppan Edo wins hands down for me.And Boma was just a very unique and different eating experience, with so many new flavors I can't easily get anywhere else unless I am in Disney, that I will definetly go back there every time as well. Both were just delicious.
For fun,we really liked 1900 Park Fair. The food wasn't the best we had in Disney, but it wasn't bad either, however the interaction was really fun,and I would go again just for that.I love the step mother and sisters..lol.
CRT wasn't too bad either. We ate there for dinner, and I had read some bad reviews of it,but we all enjoyed it a lot.We weren't rushed, our food was good, and we enjoyed meeting the fairy godmother and the mice. The only part that was rushed was taking pictures with Cinderella, and that really didn't bother us all that much..then again,we had 2 16 year olds with us too..haha.

My DH and I are huge fans of the San Angel Inn restaurant inside the temple. The food is amazing but nothing can beat the atmosphere! We are always eatting at On The Border at home. SAI is truely amazing and their margahritas are a GREAT! way to start your drinking around the world :rolleyes1

Trying this for the first time in Nov, soooo excited!!!

I love a lot of the places we have tried on our 2 trips so far (including Boma and TRex on your list!). One standout to me is Yak and Yeti at AK. As another poster mentioned, it's not talked about as much as some others, but it was absolutely, by far, the best meal of our last trip!!! We had ADRs for all our other meals, but we stopped in there on a whim. Blew LeCellier and Ohana dinner away for me. Give it a try if the menu appeals and you can get it into your schedule. I doubt you'll be disappointed!!! ;)
