What is a WDW Passporter and do I need one?

I have never seen the WDW Passporter, but from these boards, I know it is an organizer. Is it a book with WDW info too, or just pages that can hold paperwork, etc? I have a gift certificate from amazon.com and can use it to purchase one. Should buy one of these with my birthday present? I can get the Passporter Walt Disney World Resort 2003 Deluxe Edition for $27.97. Is that a good price? Should I wait for the 2004 edition? (Our next trip is May 2-12, 2004)

I think the Passporter is the best of the WDW guides. I have purchased one every year since they started in '99. I think they are the only one that makes sizable improvements, enhancements and updates yearly. A great book. I have the deluxe, buy inserts each year. Here is their site.

Hi. Just wanted to reply to you're question on Passporter. I had one for our trip earlier in the year. It was extremely helpful to me with lots places to put paperwork, areas to put PS times and intinerary lists, as well as packing list,grocery, etc. They also have great descriptions and maps of the resorts. Ok, after going to the websites, I'm convinced I need one. But, should I buy the 2003 edition now? Or does the information change considerably enough to warrant waiting until January for 2004?

Go for the Amazon deal, good price, free shipping. You will have a code when you register it for a discounted '04 refill, about $16, plus shipping. You decide if you think you will want it, I bet you will.
