what is a sold out night like?

Just wondering what a sold out night - crowdwise is like for the hard ticket events?

Can all the special shows/attractions/rides still be enjoyed? I promised my Dad that these events are worth the price and planning, will I be able to keep my promise if we are attending the night MVMCP is sold out?

I love Disney crowds or not, just worried about him and his wife being older.

I don't think the MVMCP was sold out when we went,but the Halloween party was last year on Halloween night. We still had a great time both trips. The thing is to get away from Mainstreet USA!!!! That seems to be where the crowds hang all evening. We never experienced long lines for any of the rides and we managed to get our picture and hot cocoa easy enough. Another place to go visit first and then move on is Fantasyland. It gets crowded too. Go to a picture station in one of the other lands and wait till a bit later in the night.

The later parade is much less crowded to watch than the first one.

I loved both parties and would go again,but maybe not on Halloween again.

The Christmas party was my favorite with the snow falling and the way the park was fixed up.
Also you can get to the park around 4 with you party tickets and they will put a bracelet on you and you can stay in the park when they run everyone else out by 6:00. So that even gives you a little more time in the park.

Even if MVMCP is "sold out", I believe there will be less people there than on a "packed" evening. WDW sells a limited amount of tickets to MVMCP (and MNSSHP for that matter), which is a fraction of the park's capacity. I think I read somewhere that they sell a maximum of 10,000 tickets to these special events but that the park can hold up to 40,000 guests before they close the gates.
