What is a sizzix?

Hi,
Just starting scrapbooking, and have been reading this forum. I see alot of people talking about a sizzix machine. I know this sounds like a dumb question, but What exactly is it? I've always wanted to ask. My understanding is that it makes die cuts, paper cut into a design. Is that correct? I see websites that sell paper that spells out the different parks, is that what you can make on this machine? Also, do they have die cuts for Disney?

We just had a Micheal's open up near us, and they're having their grand opening this week, and they have a 50% off coupon.

Sorry, if this sounds like a dumb question, but have always wondered about it.

You are correct a sizzix makes die cuts, it also embosses

It can cut a multitude of materials - not just paper

And just to let you know.... I have NEVER seen a Sizzix die that cuts out Disney names! (wouldn't that be neat!).......P
