What is a rope drop?

My husband and I like to compare rope drop to Black Friday. Yes there are crowds. Yes it can be chaotic. But it's all over quickly, and the early bird gets the worm!

Basically, you are going to "wait" a minimum of 60-90 minutes to ride FoP. The waits quickly rise once the park opens.

I checked the wait times last week and saw reported waits as low as 16 minutes for FoP within the last hour of the evening. There have been plenty of other reports of 20-30 minute waits close to closing time over the past several months.

Agree. I'm all about rope drop. Yes, it's early and I'm on vacation, but WDW will never be a restful vacation for me - even if I slept in. I'd personally rather be slightly crabby and tired for 20 minutes of my morning because I got up early (but get some big ticket rides in) than be crabby and tired in a 2 hour long wait for PP lol

2 hours for Peter Pan? We like to hit that one right after the fireworks show ends. Last time, the posted wait was 40 minutes but there were actually only about 10 people in line and the wait was less than 1 minute.
