What is a photopass?

I haven't been to disney in about 10 or 11 years...so, I am totally out of the loop!

We are having 13 people go this fall (Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins)..and want to make sure we don't miss anything...lol.

When you go into the parks there will be 'photopass' photographers everywhere - in front of the great pic places, with characters - you stop them and ask them to take a picture and they give you a card to use for your stay that they scan every time they take a picture - at the end of your stay (or when you get home on the computer) you can go view the pictures and choose certain ones to have printed out or you can buy the $100 CD of all the pictures that were taken.

Great way to get everyone in the pictures - we finally got some last trip that had all 4 of us in it rather then just 3 because one person was taking the pic!

After hearing about this, I signed up a few months ago on the website. When I sign in it asks for my card number.

So basically, is it as simple as getting the card from the photographer and then entering in the number after my trip? Do I have to tell the photographer anything about the website account that I set up prior to the trip?

Nope you don't have to tell them anything. You just enter the number on the card/cards on the photo pass website.

You can also view/order pics while in the parks.

We have used the Photopass for our last 2 trips. The pics are great. The photographers occasionally place set you up for a montage. We have one pick with Tinkerbell in our hands in front of Cindy's Castle, and another one with Stitch popping out of a hat we are holding. Hey! You can always choose not to purchase after you've seen the pics.
