What is a Normal Heart Rate?

60-100, the closer to 60, the better.

If you're really athletic , it may be below 60 which is OK too.

You really need to check it more than once, and at different times of the day, to get a feel for what's normal for you. Heart rate, like blood pressure, fluctuates based on many things, such as activity level, anxiety level and so on.

Your best measurement should be after resting for an extended period, especially if you can take your pulse first thing in the morning before getting up from bed.

It depends on your fitness level. The better shape you are in (like if you do a lot of aerobic exercise), the lower it will be. If your normal resting heart rate is on the low end (around 60), 100 could actually be considered a little high. But the average range, like others have said, is 60-100.
