I have never stayed at HH, and I booked a 1 bedroom for a Fri and Sat on the Disney Visa cash rate. What should I request to get a quiet location, with a nice view. I understand that there are not first floor rooms, not sure if this is correct. Any help would be appreciated.

There are 21 1BR villas. 16 are located in Buildings 11/12 - the Live Oak Lodge where the front desk is located. The other 5 are situated under a GV in buildings 16,18,19, 28 and 30.

The villas in the lodge have either a marsh view or island view. Those in 16, 19, 28 and 30 have island views and building 18 villas have a marsh view. I'd request a view rather than a specific room though.

There are no ground level villas at the resort (due to building code flood restrictions). There is a parking garage under the lodge and elevators to the upper floors. The first floor villas in the other buildings have 12 steps up to the front door, but no underneath parking or elevators.

Thanks, I will be requesting a room in the Lodge. I have a problem with stairs, so having an elevator would be much better.

Here's a coded map of the views:

Thanks for the map, that is great. How many floors are there in buildings, 11 and 12.

Building 11 has either 3 or 4 floors, depending on your point of view. There's a garage on the "street" floor, then 3 floors above it. The check-in and Big Murgie's Den is on the first floor, which is really 1 floor up. Make sense? Building 12 is one story less. We've stayed in many 1 BRs there, we like staying in the main lodge ourselves because we go in the off-season, and like to sit around the fireplace in Big Murgie's Den with hot apple cider.
