what is a croque monsuier

This is one of must-dos on the next trip - I never really thought about them before but will be trying them next week!!

yum yum, a toastie for my lunch today i think!

my gf a veggie so i'll have to ask them for no ham in one. I always get strange looks when i do that though, feel silly!

yeah i think i will try them when i go. they look huge though.

Where can you get them in the park? I'm a huge fan of the cheese toastie in all its forms!

Several places spring to mind but the Market Place Deli on Main Street definately sell them:thumbsup2

Definitely in Victoria's on Mainstreet and at the Backlot Express in WDS

McDonald's also do the McCroque - nothing like a real one, but then again that's the same for most McDonald's food

I had it once before on our 1st trip and it was deeeelicious!! Didn't get round to having it 2nd time round as was too busy eating other stuff lol !

I've got to say we're not a fan, we've tried both the cheese and the mushroom variety and they were a bit soggy for our liking but each to their own ... now if it's a lovely ham and cheese baguette then I'm happy :)

I didn't have a clue what these were, but I think I'm gonna have to try one on our next trip now, sounds weird, but must be nice if you are all saying so.

Here is me trying to start mine.

Lovely and will be getting more in January.

PS that was a mushroom one

They're lovely, and very filling - makes a great lunch!

We usually get a ham one and a mush one and share them; best of both worlds!

Do try them, even if you think they sound 'gross' (which is a bit extreme, I think, if you've never even seen one) - they're basically a toasted cheese and ham sandwich, but nicer.

We quite often have croque madame for lunch in our fave cafe in Paris - same as before, but with fried egg too. Yum.

We try to have them everytime we go they really are delicious and great value for money. You really have to try one if you've never had them before. My first one was in a cafe in Calais and it was very disappointing but seeing someone walking around DLRP with this HUGE toasted sandwich a couple of years back had me converted.!!!!

Theres nothing better than sitting in the arcade on a wet or rainy afternoon, sipping coffee, (or hot choc 2 x DD's) eating a croque monsieur and watching the world go by. Step DD and I like spotting the Disney addicts!!!!:rotfl:
