What is a 1-bedroom lock-off?

We just received our reservation confirmations in the mail, and the three nights that we will be in a 1-bedroom at the VWL indicates that it is a lock-off room. Our 1-bedroom at the BWV does not say this. Can anyone please explain what the difference is, if any? Thanks!

It means that there will be a door, that will be locked, conecting it to a studio. This is a 1 BR, that could also br rented out as 2BR by unlocking the door and opening it up.

We booked a 2BR WITH a lockoff for next November. My wife's sister is having ongoing health problems due to a bout of pneumonia and may or may not go with us, thus requiring the 2 BR if she can come along.

MS said we can drop the Studio and bank our ponts if done within time. They said we couldn't just drop the Studio in a unit without a lockoff, since of course, it's all one unit. We would have had to drop the entire reservation and try to get the desired dates again in a 1 BR. As you can guess, doing this within a month or so could be impossible.

Just my 2 cents.....

Is the layout of the one bedroom lock-off different from a designated one bedroom? Thanks, Michele

The layout of the 1 BR is the same, with or without, the lock off to the studio.

Is there only one type of 2BR at the BWV? I seem to recall that they didn't give you an option between lockoff or not. We will be using one in May & Dec and I was wondering what we would be getting.

BWV only has lockoff 2 bedrooms, no dedicated. They do have dedicated studios & 1 bedrooms. The dedicated studio is referred to as a "studio plus" because it has a small daybed where the connecting door would be and allows 1 extra person.
