What inventions would you like to see?

Body scanners. Scans you like an MRI or CT scan and finds EVERYTHING wrong with you.

A diet pill. Take it...BAM...you lose weight.

A cure for cancer.

Hologram phones. Like from Star Wars!

Laser guns.

I would like a barcode scanner/computer program in the kitchen that scans all the food you have in your pantry and fridge and gives you receipes using what you have. It would also updates your shopping list by automaticly adding things you are low on to a shopping list.

Yes, I would take that one step further and have the scanner at the store to keep track of your total, list, and available coupons while you shop.

Totally doable and would make shopping so easy!

Something that can be sprayed on driveways, sidewalks and possibly lawns that makes it impossible for snow or ice to remain, I HATE shoveling.

I want cars to come with car seats that automatically convert into child carseats and back again. Moving carseats around and making sure they are properly installed is a pain, having them custom installed would solve a lot.

So far, I am loving the pantry/recipe idea, the chip with all our medical info invention, and the autopilot/track for car travel ideas!! Great thread idea BTW!

I would like to see a machine that does an external scan rather than a pap smear.

My OB says that the pap smear is proof God is a man...

An infant-carseat friendly grocery cart. Putting the carseat at the top makes me nervous, so I put the seat on the stroller and push the stroller and pull the cart. (It's such a pain, so I go really early in the morning to avoid lots of people). There are grocery carts that have seats for small kids, how about one with a spot/lock for the car seat. *sigh* Luckily, my baby is finally big enough for her Baby Bjorn, so once she gets used to that (I put her in it for small amounts of time at home), I'll make the switch.

My babies are almost 15 but when they were babies their car seats hooked on to shopping carts easily--either on top so the baby was facing you or sideways in the basket. There were clips on the car seat that clipped on to the shopping cart even.

Some people around here have heated sidewalks and driveways just for that reason. It is sort of like infloor heating like you would have in your house. Cars used to have built in carseats that folded into the seat when not in use.

As far as what I want, I would really like an operational magic wand--that would pretty much cover everything said and wanted here.
