What in the world is moleskin???

Can someone please inform this obviously uninformed traveler what moleskin is? How is it used? What's it all about?

It does not cure them but if you have a spot that tends to blister or even a "hot spot" (before it blisters), moleskin can be a vaction saver! You can get it at any drug store in the foot care section. It comes in sheets and you just cut off a section (in the shape that you want) and stick it to your food with the adhesive side. We have used it for every Disney trip with no blisters (knock on wood). It is some cheap insurance!

Be sure to bring or buy a good pair of scissors(like Fiskars) to cut it with, it is on the thicker side, though not enough to interfere with shoe comfort.
Also, it is certainly not inexpensive--though it is considering the relief or prevention of those nasty blisters.
You will find it in drugstores in the footcare section or in discount stores in the Health & Beauty Aids section.

You people are evil-how many moles have to die just so you can walk around all day at WDW. Twenty dumb animals to make moleskin, one to wear the expensive new trainers at MK for the first time and need the moleskin.

Remeber moles are human too.....

I usually pick up moleskin at our walmart before vacationing and cut them into a few different sizes, and put them in zip locks.
Because sometimes we don't check out luggage and your not supposed to carry on scissors to the plane... Although, I think the TSA has made some changes...

moleskin SAVED me on my last disney trip! i'd heard about it on here, bought some at wal-mart (in the pharmacy along w/ the other foot-care products) and used it for the "hot spots" (aka potential blisters) on my feet during our stay-i never would've gotten through w/o it! i also rubbed bodyglide on my feet each morning before putting on my socks & shoes, but i still would've had horrible blisters w/o the moleskin.

it comes in sheets, which you cut to size-i cut one sheet into several different sizes and put them in a ziploc bag to carry in my fanny pack. when i felt a blister coming on, i stopped, took of my shoe & sock, slapped a piece of moleskin on the tender spot and i was ready to go again! i'm taking it back to wdw w/ me this fall
