What important thing have you forgotten???

hair brush, brought the wrong phone chargers and had to make trip to verizon

and last time didn't think to bring migraine meds as i rarely get them and advil usually does the trick.... got the killer of all migraines one night and nothing helped... spent the night in the room hiding under the covers wishing i could die... never will forget those again

On our recent first trip I forgot the SD card to my phone!!! Ugh!
When I found out at the airport I was like "OMG!!! @&*#!!!" :lmao:

Also, I forgot my loofah towel (I just don't feel clean if I don't use it!)

I forgot to bring my belt on the last trip. Was not good when my dd3 was always wanting me to carry her/bend over to help her or well just about any reason. We looked everywhere for one and all we found was a high priced dress belt for men on property. Finally a cm told me to use a pin lanyard and it worked. Will never forgegt my belt again - never realized how important it was when you are constantly bending over:rotfl:

My mom forgot ALL of her clothes one time. We always drove, so I guess between packing bags for 4 kids and my dad, plus food, toiletries and road activities, my mom forgot to put her duffel bag of clothes on the list! When we got home, there was her bag, sitting by the back door waiting to be packed in the van.

Another trip my mom forgot to pack her clothes on our return trip home. She called Disney when we got home and they had found all her things (we were staying in the cabins) and mailed them to her at no charge.

After those 2 trips, Mom's bag was always the first bag that was loaded into the van.

And now, when we go, I have to actually see DH put our 4 clothing bags into our minivan before he can move on to the next item to load.

LOL, these are good & definitely things I'll need to pack for next week. I keep having nightmares that we get to FL and I've forgotten to pack our park tickets. :scared1: They are in the ziploc now along w/our plane & car ressies & other important items. Hoping I don't forget that bag!

I have forgotten to pack toothbrushes for the kids.DS is guilty of not wearing shoes when we go places in the summer. I have to watch him like a hawk if we go somewhere.

Not Disney but one time I packed all of us & got halfway to Chicago (12 hrs from home) before I realized I had not packed myself any shoes - only had the cheap, old thin flipflops on my feet!

I remembered all of the 1000 detailed little things for both of my children. What I forgot? My OWN underwear! I had all other clothes in my suitcase, but NO UNDERWEAR! Thank goodness DH has a tradition when we get to hotel on the first night to run out to Walmart/Target to get some quick breakfast foods. I had to call him and say "honey, could you pick me up a package of underwear?" I was not planning on going "that kind" of theme park commando. Let's just say my girls though this was quite funny, as I am usually the one harping on everyone else about things they have forgotten.

Not at WDW, but I have done that before... :rolleyes1

On our trip to WDW we forgot the detachable stroller handle, rendering our stroller useless :headache:

Last year it was the hairbrush, and the Disney foldable was not doing it. So I actually went to Harmony and got a haircut while in the MK.

The trip before I forgot the toothbrush. I realized as soon as I cleared security at the airport at home. Bought the toothbrush before I even got on the plane. I've forgotten the toothpaste too, more than once.

But the kicker--5 months after ankle surgery, I forgot the brace. Ace bandages at Disney are not cheap at all. Now I make sure I have one always in the suitcase.

Thankfully I choose to vacation in civilization. :rotfl2: And I always have extra batteries for my camera in the camera case. Have packed them in the suitcase and forgot them for the day bag just about every trip.

The worst thing that was ever forgotten by this family......a suitcase.

Yep, we have a total of 6 in our family, 4 kids, 2 adults. The next morning when I decided to beat everyone and get ready first, like mom's always do, I couldnt find the suitcase. My DH went to the car, nothing....we finally realized that he left it at the foot of the bed.

What was so important in that suitcase....EVERYONE"S UNDERGARMENTS!! :lmao:

Needless to say, we made a very expensive trip to target!! I thought that packing the seperate bag would free room in the suitcase for clothing....I have NEVER made this mistake again!

I forgot a cell phone once, needless to say I got seperated from my mom on day one in the torential down pour at Epcot (I always get rained on at Epcot) had to call my dad collect from a pay phone to call her to find out where she was, at least I was in my twenties.

3 years later my husband and I forgot to pack the stroller we bought just for the trip and turned around about an hour from home. On the same trip got flooded out at Epcot again, me and 3 kids had flip flops in back pack with panchos I got at Walmart for a few bucks each, learned that trick years ago, my DH had to buy ESPN flip flops at resort about $20 for an ESPN logo. I still pick on him about them, he hates flip flops but wears them occasionally.

We are always forgetting DS 7 meds every where we go, got my fingers crossed we don't forget heart meds and ADHD meds.

Afew years agomy kids got $100 disney dollars in their Easter Basket. We left Easter afternoon and Ileft the Disney Dollars on the table! The crazy thing is that I bought them from a friend that had done the 4 exact same thing-only herkidsgot themin their Christmas stocking! LOL Luckily I sold them to another friend and she remembered them!

I forgot my son's(2yrs) SHOES!!!!!!!!!! LOL !! I left them on the kitchen table, thinking I would see them as I walked out the door....guess not!!!!!!!!!

Camera charger-thankfully I have a DSIL that lives close and picked us up one at Walmart and brought it when she came to visit.

DH once forgot to pack any shorts. It was a fall trip, but still very warm. He now has official WDW shorts to wear on our trips.

Another year DS and DH forgot their swim trunks-good thing we were staying overnight at a hotel the night before our flight and were able to make a Walmart run.

Come to think of it -I think DS is needing new trunks for our trip in just a week-guess I'm not shopping after all :headache:

I always forget bandaids on every trip I go on and I always get blisters even when wearing comfy shoes. I end up paying double the price at a gift shop for them just to be comfortable. I must post a sticky note on my suitcase next time to remember bandaids.

Put them in your suitcase now :)

What address do you type in to get the map on how to get there... we are staying in the All star movies and every time I type in an address it changes it and then says restricted roads?

I-95 to I-4 is really easy. I-95S about 80 miles from Jacksonville, take exit 260B to I-4. If you need to take a break, take it before you hit I-4. Much better choices in Daytona. Once you hit I-4 and are nearing the Disney exits (about 65 miles), there are a lot of signs. Exit 67 is one of the exits.

Using Mapquest, I just type use DisneyWorld, Orlando, FL. Pops up everytime. Using Google Maps, I use Walt Disney World, Lake Buena Vista, FL; then it gives me choices, like WDW MK, Swan, etc. Google maps shows exit 64 nearest AK; 67 by Epcot. You can use those as to help figure out where you go from there.

As far as the restricted roads, it maybe trying to route you through a bus or cast member area only, and that's why it's not letting it go; or it could be because it is a "special" road, in a theme park.

Once you get to WDW, it's fairly easy to find where you want to go--there are signs everywhere.

Except for the kennel; Google Maps feels that address does not exist.

For those who forget things like phone chargers, razors, brushes, etc. at home - you would be surprised at what guest services at the hotel has. I used to work for a semi-luxury hotel chain (not Disney) and we had boxes of phone chargers that were left behind that we would loan out to people who had forgotten their phone chargers at home. If you have a pretty common one, there's a good chance someone has left their charger behind and the hotel might have a charger to loan you.

In addition to the amenities you see in the room, hotels often have little combs, razors, shaving creams, toothbrushes, toothpastes, matches, etc. in housekeeping or guest services for guests who forget these and ask for them. So before you spend an arm and a leg on them somewhere, check with guest services/front desk!

BUT, last visit I put sleeping DD3 into the car (staying off property) to go to Downtown Disney and when we went to get her out of the car, she did not have shoes on!!

Not Disney, but all 3 of my daughters have gotten new shoes this way at one time or another! So have I as a kid! We always left for trips at 3 or 4 am and were carried out to the car in jammies and then when we went to make a stop a few hours later, oops, no shoes!

I tend to forget a brush and/or comb, probably because I leave them out to use them and then all of a sudden there is this rush to pack up and leave. Our flight doesn't leave until 6 pm for our August trip and I'm taking the whole day off, so I'm hoping we can leave the house in a more orderly, relaxed fashion this time!

I made a special trip to town (we live 45 miles from town) to buy moleskin, and a small sewing kit (for the scissors) and several other trip related items, and about day 2 I started getting a spot that was starting to hurt so I get out the moleskin only to realize I forgot the scissors, and you cannot tear moleskin.....What a waste LOL
