What important thing have you forgotten???

:) Leaving for disney--drove two hours to New Orleans for flight. Checking in and I showed her my ID. She said, "it's expired". :scared1: We missed our flight. Thank goodness I have a great Daddy who drove to our house, found my Passport and drove it 2 hours to us. I gave him my Chevron card and told him to put several tanks of gas in his truck.

What if I hadn't had a passport??? I had taken out my SS card, old DL and other ID--of course becasue I didn't really need them I had my license, right?

My MIL took great delight in waving back at us from the security gate :headache:...while DH fumed at me and we waited abut 6 hours for another flight.

So when I forget my toothbrush I just happily get a new one.

Daddy and Mama get to stay in their own SV studio villa at AK this year, too. Being a great Dad has its perks.

I'm used to tolls up "North" but are there any from say NC to Disney?

We come from Charlotte and there are no tolls: we take I-77 South to I-26 (East, I believe, going towards Charleston) then I-95 South to I-4 West (I believe!) No tolls going that route. HTH!!

I-4 West (I believe!) No tolls going that route. HTH!!

What address do you type in to get the map on how to get there... we are staying in the All star movies and every time I type in an address it changes it and then says restricted roads?

Have never really forgotten anything I couldn't live without. BUT, last visit I put sleeping DD3 into the car (staying off property) to go to Downtown Disney and when we went to get her out of the car, she did not have shoes on!! So we got to buy really cute blue Disney slipper boots so she could walk around.

When my oldest was four, his father(divorced now) insisted that he would do his own packing. I usually did all the packing for previous trips but all of a sudden my ex wanted to pack his own clothes. Anyway, I gave him a packing list. We went at the end of October and I knew we "MIGHT" have a chilly day while we were there. ANyway, on the list was 1 pair of pants and 1 sweatshirt(just in case). Well he thought it was stupid and refused to pack either. Well, the day we went to EPCOT, it was really cold. Me and my son wore pants and sweatshirt that I had packed for us, while my ex froze his butt off and ended up spending $50 on a sweatshirt. He moaned and groaned about the price of it for the rest of the trip....lesson learned: LET THE WIFE DO THE PACKING! :lmao:

We've never actually used mapquest or anything like that. We just kinda reverse-engineered it I guess you could say, lol. If you're talking about what address for the hotel, I have no idea about that either. But I've never had trouble finding anything once I got onto Disney property, there are a TON of signs. You do have to keep your eyes out for them just to be on the safe side, but you shouldn't have to mapquest anything, at least as far as I've experienced. Does this help at all?

well sorta-kinda, I am not sure how to get to WDW I think they said just take I-4, but others said that some of the signs are tricky.... and I like being prepped on what ever I can, so I was trying to do that. But I guess that there really is no address? I will just type in something I guess and see what happens?

I've forgotten toothbrushes. Last trip my oldest ds forgot his swim trunks. I had gone over a check list of what he packed and he said he had them. I actually think he left them home on purpose to get new ones.

while this isn't really a forgotten item, we did show up without my son's shoe. yes, only one. we believe it fell out of the minivan somewhere along the way.

Went to Disney and surrounding area for 16 days last Sept and forgot to pack the battery charger for my digital camera.

DS13 forgot to pack socks and I forgot to pack my DD3 swimsuit.

Going again this Sept for 10 days am hoping we dont forget anything this time.

Cell phone charger, good thing the phone my wife has uses micro usb.
Razor, nothing like paying $4 or $5 at a gift shop for a crappy throwaway.
Hat, I am the baldest 26 year old you will ever meet.

I packed my very expensive Neutrogena sunscreen in our carry-on, since we'd need it before our luggage arrived via ME. Smart, right?

I watched very sadly (and kicking myself mentally, HARD) while TSA threw it in the giant trash can for being too big. What's worse is that regular sunscreen gives me a terrible rash and of course they don't sell Neutrogena at Disney.

Doh! :headache:

I usually keep a permanent list in our Disney Vacation file folder which is Red and Black.
I'm OCD and live and die by 'the list!!' I am a listmaker for all things. I decided to generate a 'permanent list' and keep it.

It has all the essentials including meds, mouth guards and retainers, chargers, cameras, etc. I also compile all the stuff that is usually considered last minute--hair brushes, chargers, and such the night before. I have a last minute list as well that I check off what we have to make sure nothing gets left behind.

Now one would think all this work would help, but inevitably someone forgets something....the fav stuffed animal, the extra set of car keys, the extra credit card, the dress....but not usually important stuff. Well, maybe the stuffed animal when the kid is crying herself to sleep because we left 'Kitty' at home....but she is 12 now!! We shouldn't have to worry about that this time!!

Whew...it's a lot of work, but well worth it!! :thumbsup2

Somehow my husband forgot socks, allergy meds, and his backup pair of shoes last trip. All he had were sandals. I was not amused.

Only sandals packed and neither shoes nor socks doesn't sound accidental. :rolleyes1

Camera charger - everytime!

My camera died Monday of our last trip, I had to buy disposable's the rest of the trip! Needless to say, that wasn't cheap.

Last summer I forgot my hairbands/barrettes. I wasn't wearing them in VA where it wasn't as hot. As soon as I got to Florida, the humidity about killed my hair. I immediately bought hair bands to put my hair up. I'll never forget them again! :)

One thing I remembered my last trip which I am so thankful that I did was my fever blister/cold sore prescription. I only get them about once a year, but packed my medicine just in case. I got sick on vacation my first day there and had a high fever- two days later, guess what started forming? I was so thankful I had my medicine with me!

And, if you ever get sick while at WDW, Turner Pharmacy delivers to the resorts! My dr. (in Virginia) called in a prescription and Turner Pharmacy delivered it-- it was a life/vacation saver!!!

we wear contacts, packed cases, saline solution, daily cleaner and 2 eyeglass cases. Yep got to Disneyland only to discover hubbies eyeglasses were still in Maine! Long week with no glasses for night time reading!

My DD forgot socks for my DGS3 @the time.:rolleyes1 She won't do that again. We had to pay $12 for 2 pair & wash socks every night:rolleyes: Also forgot camera batteries once. :scared1:They cost a fortune @ the parks:faint: But what are ya gonna do?:confused3
